    Lovely phone with Windows 8

At last, I got convinced to upgrade from Lumia 900 to Lumia 920 to use the great Windows phone 8 OS features. More RAM (1 GB vs 512 MB), More storage (32 GB vs 16 GB), Dual core Processor in Lumia 920 compared to Lumia 900 pulled me into this phone. The resolution 1,280 x 768 is great to view videos & pictures with perfect zoom in clarity. We can record video in 1080p resolution so I no longer need to worry about missing camera when we are traveling out for local trips. It is little heavy (15 gms more than 900) but looks sturdy compared to 900. The display is PureMotion HD+ in 920 compared to AMOLED in 900. I mainly use it for Calls, Apps. I don't text at all so sorry that I cannot share my review on ease of texting. I use Outlook a lot (When I'm not at my desk, I never felt that I'm missing my emails... Outlook integrated with Excel, Powerpoint is a great plus in Windows phone#.. Nokia Drive helps me with cutting down the purchase of a GPS.. Lot of XBOX games with me #Be sure to look for special free games.. Install AppDeals app from Windows Phone market place which gives you daily deals on some of apps which may be free for some time).. I also use Skype a lot and it works so great. Kindle, Weather.com, Adobe reader, Banking apps for mobile check deposits, FourSquare, Twitter and of course FB are few of my most used apps. There is also a front facing camera compared to Lumia 900.. Batter life has been perfect to me. Wifi and LTE works great. Haven't used Tethering yet so can't comment on that.. IE works great in browing websites but there is no Flash support.. Overall, a great phone for Official and personal use.

This is the device that I have been desired for a long time. I got it a few days ago, I love it dearly. My previous phone including Iphone 4s then Galaxy Nexus III until this one. Lumia 920 is the ultimate device. The NOKIA LUMIA 920 has many 1st in the world of smartphones. Here they are: 1. The 1st optical image stabilization with Carl Zeiss optics/ low light camera in a smartphone 2. The 1st super sensitive screen that can be used with glove in a smartphone 3. The 1st 60 fps screen refresh rate in a smartphone 4. The 1st wireless charging smartphone 5. The 1st Virtual reality City Lens. Hardware: A-gps + GLONASS (Seven years ago NOKIA introduced the world’s first smartphone with GPS and navigation. Now, Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 are introducing the first autonomously assisted GPS and GLONASS receivers) 6. The 1st 4G/ LTE supported ? 7. Maybe the 1st smartphone that you can throw against a concrete wall, and it still works (b/c of its Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and poly-carbonate body) What else: Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, rich audio recording, Dolby stereo sound, luxury hot design award, Wifi N-dual band, NOKIA maps and drive to travel the world, free NOKIA music... more. This kind of phone don't come around very often (like NOKIA 808). Who knows perhaps in the next version, Nokia might not use some or all of the above technologies trying to make their phone much thinner and lighter. All of the above incorporated into 50g to the phone which is very worthy for me to buy. Other people might think it is not for them, it is their personal preference. Therefore, we should respect their choice.

    Switched from Android, Quite Impressed!

Well, I have been a loyal android customer since my first Motorola Backflip(worst phone ever) through my galaxy s 1, to the ATRIX HD. I have only had a couple windows phones in the past (Samsung Blackjack II, and then the HTC Surround). This Nokia may have converted me. Now for the Positives- The Lumia 920 is a different world entirely from those old windows phones. The thing I hated most about older windows phones was the Zune tie-in. I have multiple Ipods, so all of my music is neatly organized in Itunes. The old windows phones would require you to install zune on your pc, then reorganize all of your music, photos, ect. using windows libraries. All that nonsense is GONE! The new windows phones integrate with Itunes flawlessly, so no wasted time putting together music and such. The UI is neat, and easily manipulated to suit your needs. The level of integration with apps in the os is incredible (meaning the way things work together in the foreground and background without crashing, slowing, or mixing up). The camera is great as well, and requires little effort to take a great picture. Another amazing feature Nokia integrated into the Lumia 920 is the ability to charge wirelessly. I purchased the DT-900 charging plate from amazon, and I can charge my phone wire-free without a bulky case, just set it on the pad, and it begins to charge. The phone part of it works very well. The look and feel of the device is high end, doesn't feel cheep and plasticy like some of my old Androids. Works more effortlessly than my girlfriend's Iphone 4s(which is sooo much slower, and can't make a phone call from in my house... in the city!) OH! almost forgot, over 20 gigs of free space built into the device. Now the negative couple of things- The apps(or lack-thereof) are underwhelming. Most of the big, most popular, apps are there, but they don't feel the same as Android. The windows store app is not very good at searching, and sorting specificities. Android Interfaces and settings are MUCH more customizable than Windows Phone 8. Other than that, the battery is only so-so, but better than my last phone(Motorola ATRIX HD with 4.1 Jellybean). The speaker is on the bottom, which is good for speakerphoning, but terrible for gaming/video watching(my hand covers up the speaker when turned sideways, and completely muffles it). I have no other complaints about this wonderful device, and I would buy another new Nokia based on my happiness with this one.

I bought the Lumia 920 and I love it and I highly recommend everyone to give it a try, especially if you plan on purchasing Windows 8. AT&T offers a 14 day exchange, but I have a good feeling you wouldn’t want to give it back after you play with it for a few days. It is the most intuitive phone with rich features out there. Here’s the findings on my new phone: • First things first! The Lumia 920 comes with multiple language options!!! I got my dad one which is great because he can use Traditional Chinese on his phone. I think there are other languages such as Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Korean. Since this is very intuitive phone to use, the additional language is perfect for my parents. • The phone is beautifully designed and grips very well in my hand. The curved gorilla glass is durable and more ergonomic for finger gestures. • The screen resolution is amazing and it’s higher than the retina display. The AMOLED screen along with Clear Black technology along with True Black gives you sharp contrast and richer color. This screen definitely works better in bright daylight as it said it would. • The ultra-sensitive screen also works when I wear gloves on a cold day. No need to take the gloves off, which is nice during cold weather. • The camera quality can’t be beat on this phone. Night time captures without flash is bright and clear and there’s not a phone out there that can do this. The floating lens and image stabilization works wonders when moving. Moving objects are captured without any ghost effect. • There are additional camera features built in for users to easily edit photos and change lens style, etc. • NFC on great for sharing photos, videos or files with friends. In addition, with my Nokia JBL PowerUp speaker, it automatically pairs and charges the phone simply place it on top of the speaker while playing music. • My partner has iTunes, but with the companion software, it imports all of his playlists, music, photos, and other contents effortlessly. • I really like the Nokia Drive+ navigation software. It’s free and works perfectly. I like the option where I can download the maps locally so it doesn’t have to rely on internet connectivity. The software also comes with downloadable voice guiding options in many languages! In addition, you can select voice of male or female, depending on your preference. • Everything I have is accessible via the SkyDrive, including documents where I can edit directly on my phone using the built in Office apps. I keep my shopping list so it's always updated either from my phone, tablet, or home computer. Photos are automatically uploaded to SkyDrive so there's no need to connect the camera to my PC. • If you get this phone, definitely check out the accessories!!! I got the black Nokia JBL PowerUp speakers. Amazing surround sound and the phone is Dolby certified. The PowerUp actually charges my phone as I use it.

After a few days, so far so good with the new 920. I like Windows 8 and the performance and user experience with the phone is great. Voice quality is superb. The phone is beautiful. The camera seems top-notch. To people who think the phone is too heavy? You're wimps! It's solid, and the build quality is excellent. Compare it to some of the other vendors who offer plastic models and see who breaks first? I'm in the process of seeing how many of my Lumia 900 Windows 7.5 apps run as is or have been ported to run on Windows 8. Of course, the app ecosystem may be the weakest link, but that will be improving daily as adoption grows. And how many apps does one really need? We'll see. So far I've seemed to have been able to find apps for all of my needs (and then some#. The 32Gb local storage should be sufficient for all of my apps, photos, music, and videos which I might choose to store locally on the device. I also have 7Gb of Skydrive space, but I expect Microsoft to increase that over time, as needed. I'm not sure how much I'll be storing on the cloud. Wifi connectivity is a breeze at home and already at a friend's house. I'm going to pair the device to my local computer via bluetooth, as well as to my SmartTV. Bluetooth works great in my car and all of my contact information is synched correctly. The synchronized social media aspects of the phone #e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook) also all work perfectly. There is still much to learn about WP 8 and this new Nokia hardware combination. So far, soooo good. Well done, Nokia!

    The Complete Package

When this product was announced, it instantly grabbed my attention. The only part was waiting so long to find out when it came out. Now that it is here, I could not be happier. The Nokia is, simply put, the Complete Package. Easily the best camera phone on the market, especially in low light situations and overall quality. It is honestly tough to take a blurry shot. While daylight pictures seem "soft" this is easily fixed with either a quick edit fix, or future software updating. This phone has been considered "heavy" by some, but I find it to feel just right. No case is needed and the phone feels SOLID. No plastic feel here. Every design element has been thought over for the best piece of hardware for the everyday user. (Ceramic lens cover is scratch resistant, the hardware keys are dirt and stain resistant, Corning Gorilla Glass 2.0) Windows 8 takes the mobile platform to a new level. I previously had an HTC Titan with Windows 7.5 and loved it, this Nokia just brings it to a whole new level of love. I honestly have no complaints about the operating system. (Sure some Apps are missing, but most are built-in to the OS). If you want the perfect balance between Android and iOS, this is the perfect phone for you.

cons cont... The metro style sync for windows 7 and 8 still needs to evolve a bit but still a pretty good app. I was surprised to see ISO and Shutter speed settings in the camera. I was confused at first about " Picture Preview" but I get it now. You can see the way the picture is going to look before you take it even with iso, white balance and shutter speed settings changed, my DSLR doesn't even do that. It's fast, smooth, looks brilliant and feels great in my hand. I had a windows phone 7 and was fairly happy with that but this phone is over the top, especially for $99. I was skeptical about all the Nokia App hype but their apps have lived up to it. Nokia drive works awsome, maps, and the different camera apps are all great. Along with my subscription to xbox music I have everything I need and plenty of it. The combination of bing music search and xbox music for 99 a year means I never have to worry about how much I am spending on music.

i finally left metro pcs and bought the nokia lumia 920 for myself and bought my wife an iphone 5 on a new plan with at&t. the lumia cost me $99.99 for new contract and my wife $199.99 for her iphone 5. we both got home and played with our phones. she got frustrated with itunes, askin for credit card info for her just setting up her phone to continue. by that time, i was already downloading music and vidoes from my personal library without any problems. by the night, she decided to return the iphone and get the lumia 920. this is why this phone is better than the iphone: 1) camera quality setting in low light is better on the lumia 920 2) exclusive carl zeiss camera lens which is best camera lens in the market for the buck 3) 32gb phone for $99.99 vs 16gb phone for $199.99 4) xbox friendly - got to play games and get more achievements and it shows my avatar 5) iphone is so blah. lumia 920 u can customize how it looks to match your style with your own photos 6) adjusting size of apps, the apps u tend to use more u can enlarge them the seldom used apps u can make them smaller 7) just like the galaxy, u can tap phone to phone to transfer pictures =]

Having had in the past HTC's, Nokia N81 unlocked(which was my favorite and in my opinion the most advanced at the time, expect for iPhones keyless keyboard) iPhones and Samsung galaxy2. I was in the market for an upgrade. Judging from past experiences and researching and reading reviews...I knew I didn't want another iPhone, as many have said not much innovation thru the years(my Nokia N81 had video calling 6yrs ago even thou no carriers in the USA provided the service)yes some tweaks here and there, yes they are lighter but most definitely more fragile. I see many people walking around with cracked screens especially iPhones and galaxy 3s, the one great thing about the iPhone 3GS was it's build and quality it can take a beating and not break. I was very close to purchasing a galaxy 3 nice looking screen good sound better than iphone 5 in my opnion, but something about the build didn't quite convince me so I decided to wait for the Nokia Lumia 920 and check it out (wasn't ever interested in Samsungs Note 2, way to large). I'm glad I waited for the 920 It feels like a premium device it reminds me of the iPhone 3GS great quality, the screen is beautiful, the color options are great(got a yellow one), Windows 8 OS works great for me the live tiles are a breath of fresh air you run you finger along the screen everything has a smooth feel, great speakers, the Nokia apps are great Nokia music pretty much unlimited music, Nokia city lens is an innovative app, Nokia offline GPS app and on are all free. NFC, Yes finally wireless charging, I lost count of how many chargers I've purchased for my Iphone. Last but not least...the camera it's awesome in dark light conditions its like magic you can't believe it, and it shoots great videos as well with image stabilization...having kids this phone is great don't have to worry about carrying a separate camera. Some people say the 920 might be on the hefty side, but if you put a case on your phone the weight is about the same, the 920 doesn't need a case checkout the YouTube videos out there. The App Store doesn't have nearly as many apps available that you can get on a iPhone or Android stores, but I have most of what I need. The OS is new so more apps will be available soon, I can see the difference in the month I've had the device they've multiplied. Some minor things might need to be tweaked with the OS, but I've been getting updates which is good, they seem to be addressing the issues.

The phone is excellent; it looks great and feels great. I really like the integration it has with Hotmail; SkyDrive is amazing, excellent for photographs. The camera is really good but do not believe the hype that it rivals an SLR camera, it doesn’t. The battery is not great, at first the phone was lasting no more than 10 hours with moderate use. I wasn’t talking on the phone but texting via whatsapp. After doing some research I found that if you disable some of the background tasks (Drive+ in particular) the batter will last a lot longer, it’s still not great but it’s an improvement. Right now (November 23, 2012) the phone seems to be having lockup issues. I have been speaking with Nokia support and they are aware of the issue but no updates have been given. I was going to return the phone for a replacement until I noticed the Nokia forum website. There are lots of people that are having this lockup issue. Hopefully this is something MS and Nokia can fix sometime soon with an update patch. Overall I really like the phone and I would have given it a perfect score if it wasn’t for the battery life.

Can't say how much I am love this phone. I have done much research and was leaning towards a iPhone but am so glad that I got this phone instead. I was looking to get the cyan version but it wasn't in store and had a bit of a backorder time. After looking at the black model I felt that it was a very classy color. Everyone has been reviewing this phone based on the camera and all I can say is it blows away any of the IPhone or Androids that my family and friends have. In low light this thing really performs. The sound quality of the calls and the music is also very nice. Battery life is basically very good, but I wish that AT&T hadn't messed around with the menu. I live in an area where my phones tend to switch between 4g and edge which if you don't know is hard on a phones battery. I have just been switching off my cellular connection at home seeing that I am on Wi-Fi there. On the unlocked international version it is my understanding that if you want to pick your connection manually you can. The build quality of this phone is outstanding and as for me I love the feel even if it is a bit heavier than some other phones out there. Also, seems to have a screen that stands up very well to bright sunlight outdoors. I have to thank my daughter for pushing me in this direction.

Really impressed. Couldn't ask for more. What I like the most: Its super sensitive touch screen Nokia City Lens (maps). Gorgeous! Nokia Music, which puts its rivals to shame. Nokia Pureview. Wont believe it. The pictures are amazing! 8.7 megapixels. Its low-light performance. This alone makes it a must buy! Its wireless charger, love it. Battery life, excellent. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thanks NOKIA!

Nokia is coming back to the game of mobile wars. With the release of the Nokia 920 it has a chance with its great screen and new software interface through Microsoft's Windows Phone. One concern that I have is the heft of the phone along with the weak battery life. Not to mention the lack of app selection currently in its portfolio. There is potential although I would probably wait till Nokia comes out with some awe striking camera quality seen in its other products.

GPS and camera are second to none i love the camera lets you point the phone and shoot anytime at the spur of the momenet to catch that special picture. Unlike my old droid razor were i would have to first unlock phone, then turn on camera mode, then i can take picture by then its to late. Also the Nokia 920 fits in my hand perfect and i am able to control phone well and id doesn't get hot ( unlike my old droid which used to burn in my hand) I new their was a phone better than what i had and now it is here my new Lumia 920. Nokia Lumia 920-Free Charging Plate ?

I exchange SIII for Lumia 920. it feels very good while holding for me weight was not a problem its just feels right while holding it. it feels like its built to last even after multiple drops but Samsung galaxy sIII I was always afraid that if drops its going to break. Camera quality its a just a hype I took around 50 pictures. Pictures with the galaxy SIII were amazing not in the lumia 920. even though I was standing real still while taking the picture. it just disappoint me big time its not even close to galaxy S III quality. Per ATT all lumia 920 buyers will get the free charging plate regardless buying it from ATT store or bestbuy. Asked the lady who helped me @ bestbuy she totally ignored my question did not let me hold or check the box contents to see if the charging plate is in there or no.She tried to sell me the phone for 149.99 couldn't give me the correct answers ( this is all after I had to wait for an hour# When I asked again and again about the free charging plate #49.99 value# was told one of the other customer bought it he did not care about it besides it comes with the usb cable # I was like OKAYYYY) when I asked again about it how and where should I get it was told oh ! if you realy wanted then call ATT they will send you one as we do not have one. Called ATT was told to go to there corporate store - went there the told me it should have been with the phone or they should place a order for you. As we wont give you unless you return the phone to Best buy and buy from us then we will give you one. Called best buy was told same thing again call ATT back and now I am getting the run around I wish some one from best buy can take the responsibility and resolve my issue ....

This phone does everything flawlessly. Nokia's apps are incredible, WP8 operating system is solid and easy to use. Screen quality is the best I've seen although I know the HTC 8X has a higher pixel density but I don't have any experience with it. Battery life is great especially with battery saver turned on. Browsing the internet is smooth and the prioritized loading makes things really quick. You will not be disappointed with this phone.

I switched from the iPhone 5 on Sprint to this beautiful beast, the Nokia Lumia 920! Main reason I switched was the lack of Windows Phone support on Sprint's end. When I realized that Nokia will never be on the Sprint network; it made my decision to go to AT&T that much easier. I was a fan of the Windows 7 Phone, HTC Arrive, so it was a waiting game for me. I couldn't wait any longer and don't regret my decision! Nokia Lumia has a great camera, both front and back, call quality are loud, great battery life (10-11 hours of medium/heavy use), LTE is amazing, BUT the only thing is the lack of the popular apps available on Android and iOS, but I feel that one people open their mind and actually try using the Windows Phone for more than a day, they'll find it to be very useful and steamline. Or maybe that's just me...
