Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the durability and length of the Apple MFi Certified 4.9' Lightning USB Charging Cable, with many positive comments highlighting its sturdy build and convenient length. Some customers also appreciate the warranty offered. However, a few customers reported issues with charging performance and considered the cable expensive. The price point and occasional charging problems appear to be the main drawbacks.

Old Version
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beware, I bought this in a quick trip to the store thinking I was buying the last edition (second as if jan 17). The photo on the box didn't show the shape of the plugs, this is shown on the new version of the new box, looks exactly like the battery cable, which the cable is softer and the plugs ends are more round. I also own the first and newest gen of battery cable and universal cable my nomad.

Bad Impression
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cord is long and sturdy. It gets the job done. May even charge a bit faster than the Apple chord (or maybe I am prideful of my things). Anyways, I’ve owned it for a month or so. This morning when I unplugged my phone everything was working fine. When I went to plug my phone in tonight, the “lightning” end snapped right off and got stuck in my phone. No extra force was applied at all. Now I hope the warranty will replace it. We’ll find out in the morning.

Posted .Hey Matt, thanks for leaving your review! We're sorry to hear about what happened with your Nomad cable. If you haven't already, please email our Support team ([email protected]) and we will help you get set up with a replacement right away! The reason for the break in your lightning tip is actually something that Apple makes us do. Basically they would rather our cables break then the phones be damaged if there is too much tension on the cable. They want the cable to come out of the phone so we have to put in a breaking point into the lighting connection, (so does every other MFI approved phone cable). We hope that you will be in touch with our Customer Support team soon, if you have not already. -Nomad

Not as tough as expected.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used the cord for a couple of months in the car when it stopped transferring data and power. Nomad kindly replaced it via their warranty. The replacement stopped working on its first road trip having lasted less than a day. Afterwards, still wanting to give it a third chance, Nomad only offered a refund, not a replacement. The cord was never really unwound to its full length.
