The cutout is too small for the fingerprint scanner. If you program the scanner before putting the phone in the case you will not be able to use it as is. The case needs someway to be held closed. My phone has a scratch on it from me dropping it, which is my fault, but the case opened up during the fall letting the phone get damaged. Maybe some kind of catch like a magnet or a snap would work. I've ordered a different case with more pockets and better protection.

However over time, the wear develops into a beautiful and unique patina as the leather ages.
