The screen cracked as soon as it hit the ground. This case will only be useful as a wallet and for its looks, other than that this will not protect your device from a simple fall, which should be the top job of any case. I had to spend $149 to get a new iPhone screen at apple. I hoped i would like this case but it's only four months and I'm looking for something which will protect my phone first and then allow me to store any cards/id.

Posted .Hi! When the leather is new it will scuff pretty easily but after about 1-3 months of wear your case will develop a nice patina and it won't scuff up so easily anymore!

My keys and wallet have scarred it so much, after three days, I stopped using it. I accidentally dropped it and my phone cracked... not a happy feeling. There is no protection, it’s just for looks, that is if you want to carry it in your hand 24/7 as it gets damaged too easily.

I'm so sorry that happened to your phone while using your Nomad case. The Folio Case is more of a fashion case and provides less rugged protection than any of our other cases. This is something that we are activley trying to improve right now. It may be moot point now, but scratches to the leather are a natural occurance and will improve (become less noticeable) as the leather ages. They can also be buffed out a bit with a smooth cloth. If the case had a magnetic flap and stayed closed my phone wouldn't have a shattered screen.
