Very poor quality for the price. Case started to fall apart after 2 days - had to return to Best Buy.

A Great Case That Will Age Beautifully

Let me begin by saying that the leather Nomad has used is neither cheap, nor poor quality. The leather is beautiful, with a nice grain. It's not slick like many prefinished leather products. The reason for this is simple: the case is made to become weathered. Many leather products we buy today are machine worn. They have a highly artificial patina, fairly uniform from item to item. While the initial experience of a product that has been treated in such a way is one of familiarity, it will never replicate the uniqueness of a product that achieves its patina through use. Out of the box, the Nomad case has a rougher feel than many leather cases on the market, Apple's included. The difference is noticeable, and somewhat off-putting if you haven't handled handmade watch bands or other hand worked leather items. As the leather is handled, it absorbs the oils from hands and is smoothed through use, creating a supple, beautiful look and feel. The Nomad case fits snug. It takes a fair bit of forcing to get the iPhone in, and it's certainly not designed to be taken off once it's on. It's fantastically slim for a leather case, and fits in the limited space in the dock I built for my watch and phone. All the buttons and the lightning port are still easily accessible and, in the case of the buttons, retain a nice, solid, tactile feel. I'd encourage anyone to purchase this case if they are willing to give it days to feel great, and a few weeks to go from being attractive to beautiful.

his is a great case, with a great feel, and it offers significant protection. Ive dropped my phone a few times already and have not had any problems at all. This case offers full protection around the case unlike Apple's where the bottom of the case is completely opened and unprotected. 5 stars!

    Button cutouts aren't great

The leather was nice and was what really drew me towards this particular case, and I also liked how it protected the bottom of the phone as compared to Apple's leather case. However the cutout for the silent switch wasn't a good fit and made it difficult to turn it on/off. It also got in the way of the switch so sometimes the switch wouldn't be able to be turned on.

My case fits perfect. You just need to ensure the phone is pushed in all the way and you will not have any problems with it. Would recommend!!

    Form over function

I purchased this and immediately returned it upon putting it on my phone. The case is too tight and when it's on it holds down the power button constantly, causing the phone to soft reset repeatedly. This case looks nice, but it is useless if you want to have a functioning phone.

      Hi,
Uh oh! That is definitely not supposed to happen. It looks like you must've gotten a unit whose dimensions were slightly off. The cases are designed for full and proper button function, but it does look like you stumbled upon a unit there that sneaked past quality control. Thanks for the feedback and we'll work to ensure stuff like this doesn't slip by in the future. nomadgoods

    Don't buy

Hoping I can save people some time. Do not buy this case. I did and returned it immediately after putting it on my iPhone 7. The problem with it is the sides are too thick and you cannot get your finger in its opening to turn your ringer on or off without struggle. I suggest the leather apple case. New design. Few new colors. Looks and works great.
