You can find lots of reviews on YouTube for this pack that say plenty about the good things, so I'll start out with the things that I found to be a little strange or annoying. Being able to switch between a duffel and a back pack is very convenient, but one reviewer said it is best when you take the time to convert between modes. I've yet to find out how to reset to either mode so I've just left it how it was set when it arrived. The "bottom" of the pack is also the "back", so if you place it somewhere dusty and then wear it on your back, all that is going to show up or need a wipe. It can be a little tough to tell which side is which when you first start using the pack. If you have an older, thicker laptop, it may not fit in the laptop sleeve. Everything feels pretty secure and good quality. The only design flaw I see is that the backpack straps want to try and loosen themselves due to gravity. But I also may be missing something if I'm set between "modes" as mentioned above. As for good, there is lots to say. Mine came with the clothing hamper, which I think is super convenient and a nice bonus. There is ALOT of room in here. I've fit pretty much an entire weeks worth of clothing in here using packing cubes. Keep in mind, if you fill the main compartment completely, you will have less room in your auxiliary pockets. I think the squared off design looks sharp and classic.

I am an employee of Best Buy and had the opportunity to use the Nomatic Travel Pack 40L for a recent beach vacation. I was travelling for 7 days and I was pleased with the amount of space in this bag and how well it was partitioned. There are two shoe compartments that I used for shoes and sandals and inside I was able to fit all my clothes and toiletries on top. It helped that I was using the Nomatic packing cubes as these allow for better use of space and the ability to pack more within the bag. I also appreciated that you could unzip the entire front of the bag so you didn’t have to empty everything to get to the bottom contents. As for the exterior, we got caught in the rain a few times travelling and it’s water resistant material kept my things dry. I’m rating this a 5 because I think it’s well designed, is made with great material, partitions the space well and keeps your things organized and safe from the elements.

I am an employee of Best Buy and recently was able to test the Nomatic Expandable 40L Travel Backpack on a week-long trip to the USVI. I was immediately impressed by the quality of construction and attention to detail that went into making this product. The shoulder straps were comfortable and distributed weight well. All of the materials seemed to be water resistant with weather proofing on the zippers – although we didn’t run into any rain, I felt confident storing my laptop and devices without worry. I also really liked the inclusion of the mesh laundry bag to help separate dirty clothes from clean items. Additionally, the pack fit easily into the overhead compartment on the plane and worked well as a carry-on.

This bag has the feel of a quality product and I trust that it will be a durable product as well. It is designed as a carry on and serves well as such. The bag is shaped to maximize storage, with a rectangular shape, but it feels good when carried by the handles or as a back pack. There are ample pockets for organizing, but filling them does take away interior space so mine will likely be under utilized. I am happy with this purchase.

Lots of space, very nice quality. Easy to use and carry

I travel for leisure and for work. Normally I take my roller suitcase or my osprey 40L farpoint. This bag looks a little more professional than my Osprey. I appreciate the extra compartments. They really help me organize my passport, charging cables, devices, and even my clothes. I do like that I can buy accessories such as packing cubes and a special frame to keep my button-down shirts from getting wrinkled. All in all I think this pack is great for the jet set person. The duffle bag mode is a bit clunky, but outside of that it is a versatile, well designed bag/pack.

Bought this as a carry on and it works great. Plenty of pockets to store items. However, since there are no wheels it's will get kind of heavy to carry around if you pack a lot of items.

I love this backpack, I had the smaller version which I've used for well over a year. The company has quality products and I really am happy with both backpacks. I even use this along with the everyday camera bag that I have to travel and take pictures. If you do need something larger then at that point I would consider an actual hiking/camping backpack.

Quality travel bag that has nicely sized unique compartments for a pair of shoes, passport, iPad/laptop & dirty laundry. I personally think it's a perfect size for a 7 day trip. The size also qualifies as a carry on making it easy for grab and travel with trips!

This bag has everything you could think of and can fit between 3-7 days worth of clothes in a carry one size bag. Great for anyone that likes to travel light and backpacks a lot.

Tried to do too much in one bag. Strap management is clumsy. Wish there was side access to main copartment. Very cumbersome when you jave laptop in the bag.
