Seems like the belt rubs against something but if you lift it on an incline, the noise stops. I usually run it slightly up so doesn't bother me and can hear the tv set I have positioned above it otherwise turn your volume up. It does its job other than the noise.

Nicer than expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great treadmill for walking, like the incline; wish it were not so long, tho as have no place to put it and it's used nearly daily; also wish it didn't have all the electronic stuff; just needs miles walked and calories burned; guess you can't find one like that that also has a longer running belt anymore. Thankful it is quiet and, so far, dependable.
