    Norton is good value on first order but after that they you to sign up for automatic renewal for over a hundred dollars. Way too much. Then there so many adds for LifeLock it's annoying.

    I'd recommend giving this trial to someone you don't really like. It's maddening. It has lots of pop-ups and constant messages about needing more protection and needing a higher package to fix your computer. It's like a nightclub bouncer just letting everybody in and telling the owner "Yeah you have 3 thieves in here now. If you want me to do something about it, you'll need to upgrade my services." Norton also stores your credit card and if you have auto-renewal turned OFF, they still charge your card BEFORE the trial expires. It takes awhile in the customer service chat, but they will correct this eventually. So after all that, I installed Norton. Surprise, Suprise! I still get pop-ups saying I'm not protected, and I need to Renew. Apparently, the only way to truly uninstall Norton is to get an uninstall program from their site. In summary, Norton took the best tricks from computer viruses and scammers and turned it into their business model.

    Norton, along with all other antivirus software has for the most part been replaced by what comes with Microsoft Windows these days. It’s nice that it’s free but it’s just not for me.
