Never liked Norton. Uninstalled it after I found out it was deleting files I need in blender without telling me. Files immediately stopped disappearing after I uninstalled this.

      Hi MevsMe,
Thanks for sharing your perspective! It’s true that being careful online and avoiding suspicious websites goes a long way in staying safe—good browsing habits are one of the best first lines of defense.
That said, even on trusted sites, threats today can come from places you don’t expect:

Malicious ads or hidden scripts on otherwise safe pages
      Phishing links that look legitimate
      Compromised Wi‑Fi networks
Identity‑theft risks unrelated to browsing, like data breaches

Tools like Norton 360 and LifeLock Identity Advisor help cover those gaps by adding real‑time protection, scam alerts, and monitoring that good habits alone can’t fully replace.
But your point is absolutely valid: smart online behavior + good security tools is the strongest combination. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts! norton_us

Hi ‘Sleep’ - Thanks for your feedback, but if you really want the #FACTS on Microsoft Windows Defender, watch this 3rd-party comparison of Norton and Defender. Same malware attacks used on both systems - Norton survives all the attacks, but Defender does not and is rendered unusable, INCLUDING **complete removal of Defender**: https://youtu.be/S9LPxOPiYqU?si=ot2Bo4lSLd8nMyyN&t=448 - Hope this helps - DWN norton_us

Subscription antivirus is not necessary. Microsoft Windows maintains a free antivirus. If you need extra protection because you download games or other applications from suspicious websites then use malwarebytes or sandboxie to test the apps. Nordvpn also includes an identity service.
