Have no Idea if there was something about this in the box for the purchased item. I must have ignored it among the other advertisement clutter. Only know about it now because of an email requesting a review. The coffee is brewed. The dog just walked into the room. Now on to important things.

I will never install anything from Norton on any computer of mine. Several years ago I had Norton on a computer and wanted to use different security software and getting the old Norton software off the PC was almost impossible. Norton really doesn't want to see you go. I did not take advantage of this free offer.

If you had called our support line, they'd have told you about www.norton.com/nrnr - that link downloads a complete removal program for Norton on Windows. You're correct, we don't want people to be unprotected, but *anyone* can remove our software completely with the above link. Hope this helps - DWN

To be fair, I never even downloaded it, as nowadays Windows Defender is just good enough for my use case, and if not, I would any other free antivirus.
