On some systems—especially those with limited storage, older hardware, or lots of startup apps—this can be more noticeable.

Ways to reduce storage and performance impact
If you decide to keep Norton installed, these steps often help improve speed and reduce resource use:

Adjust scan schedules: Run scans during off-hours so they don’t compete with your daily use.
Pause or limit background tasks: Some features can be tuned so they run less frequently.
Review startup items: Reducing the number of apps that launch at startup can significantly improve boot time.
