Better Safe Than Sorry

Let me just kick off this review with that Norton 360 Platinum IS worth your time.
Better Safe Than Sorry:
Like many of us, I’ve been concerned with the security of my personal computer (laptop) and whether or not it’s been compromised at one point or another because even the most ‘familiar and secure’ sites can be compromised, leaving your computer or device vulnerable to viruses or data collection or possibly worse.
Sure, I’ve used browsers that block your location and claim to alert you to potential viruses/hacks but how can anyone fully trust a free vanilla service? I know there are a lot of us who have the mentality of, ‘my computer hasn’t been infected or hacked’ and don’t give a second thought to a premium security service. I was one of those people. But what we have to remind ourselves is that there’s a first time for everything.
Why Norton?
A couple of years ago, I used a premium device security program that provided security to my computer. At the end of the year-long subscription, I couldn’t wait to refuse to renew it. This other service that I used did its job as a VPN but, after a couple of weeks of using it, I started getting notifications that were CONSTANTLY recommending that I upgrade to their extra services. It was annoying and made me wonder why I had ever gone with them, to begin with. I really wonder if they are still in business now.
The Norton name and brand are familiar and had been around for SEVERAL years.
The Norton 360 Platinum provides device security and dark web monitoring that will let me know if my personal information has been compromised and is being used for nefarious purposes. There’s 100 gig cloud backup that I honestly feel good about. As someone who has A LOT of photos and documents taking up tons of space on his computer, this alleviates memory space on my hard drive.
A while back, I witnessed a friend have his computer get infected with malware. There’s a panic that washes over the user as they realize that all of the important files/documents in the computer are compromised and might not be retrievable. Norton 360 has real-time security that alerts you and prevents malware infections. And sure, I have always told myself, ‘But I’m careful when visiting sites or downloading files’ but at least now I won’t have that hesitant voice lingering in the back of my head that says, ‘are you sure this is safe?’.
And it doesn’t matter what kind of browser you use, Norton Platinum works on Firefox, Chrome, Brave, etc.
Share On Multiple Devices:
With my previous device security, I was only protected on one computer. That was it. With the Norton Platinum, I have up to 20 devices that I can protect which include my phone and the phones of relatives and some close friends.
Does It Work?
I’m not going to write about how in the amount of time that I have been using Norton 360 Platinum that several ransomware attacks have been thwarted or that the PC Safecam prevented a hacker from accessing my computer. But I can say that I KNOW the security program is running and I don’t have to think twice about it.
I will state that with the Norton 360 app, the Auto-Connect VPN works. I went into a Starbucks and there was a notification on my phone that alerted me to the fact that the free wi-fi wasn’t secured and the Norton VPN was activated.
What else is awesome? Knowing and seeing that Ad Trackers are being blocked through the Norton VPN. As of this writing, there have been 1.7K trackers blocked because of this service. I can’t imagine anyone out there who is eager and wishing for more ad data to be collected on him or her.
There’s Nothing to Lose:
There’s enough to worry about in today’s world. We shouldn’t have to worry about potential threats to our computers/devices when for most of us, our computers are our portals to escapism while also being a tool for our work.
The Norton 360 Platinum is a better safe than the sorry option.

One of the most important things to keep a pc running properly is an antivirus because today we can no longer trust the sites we browse, the networks we connect to and the files we download, in fact there are many ways to make vulnerable a pc with infected files or links that seem to be innocent but could cost us more than we imagine.
Norton has been one of the most experienced companies when it comes to antivirus, and this time with Norton 360 Platinum they continue to prove it. This plan can be used on up to 20 devices such as computers, tablets or cell phones with the same account, just download the app, sign in with username and password and that's it, from then on you can select what kind of functions will be activated and what level of protection since you can even activate a protected connection with the Secure VPN function that works great on pc or mobile devices. One of the things that Norton 360 initially does for you is to check if your email is compromised (Dark Web Monitoring) and tells you which pages were recently attacked and what you should do about it, as there are pages of all kinds that we subscribe to which are then victims of cyber attacks and we don’t know for sure if our data has been exposed. In everyday use Norton 360 helps a lot in the Internet browsing by keeping trackers blocked and alerting you when a page is not safe or a potential risk is recognized, as well as keeping your IP hidden. If you wish you can activate the password manager and cloud backup option but that will depend on each user.
With this antivirus I feel safe to surf the internet, download files and use my devices as I usually do but with the certainty that my data will not be exposed or that by clicking on a link a virus enters my devices. It will always be better to have an antivirus than not having one and what Norton 360 platinum offers you is more than just an antivirus, it goes from a password manager, to a secure connection with VPN, security alerts and more, if you want to have your pc and all your devices protected this is one of the best options without a doubt, definitely recommended.

Excellent choice for almost any and all users.
Very solid protection. Very light-weight in regards to system overhead compared to so many other competitors products.
I have Norton on 2 PC's, 2 lap-tops, 2 Android devices. I also have Norton's sister company Bullgaurd on 2 other PC's, 1 laptop and 1 other Android device. So far, both Norton and Bullgaurd are very even in protection, simplicity and light use of background overhead resources of the OS, BUS or memory.
Very intuitive, easy to install, simple to manage. I love the fact that this can operate on so many eco-systems and across so many devices. When my son returns from the United States Navy, I will load this on his devices. This license allows you protection on up to 20 devices. Very impressive, especially for those families with multiple users.
End of the day, this is an excellent choice for the price, especially if you have multiple ecosystems and multiple device types.
I would (and I can say I already have) recommend to a friend!

I got the digital version via email. Start up was easy but picking the options and setup was a bit confusing, and its not my 1st time. After picking the options, installing was quick and automatic with no real issues. Using the browser extensions was much easier than anticipated with very little added steps or garbage. The software did not slow down my computer as I have experienced with other anti-virus programs in the past. Actually, my computer operated with no change except for the browser extension on Chrome. With the many threats and intrusions, having a good anti-virus for your computer is very important. I have had friends who have had to replace entire systems due to hacking and virus. Some of the most innocent websites and emails, can be very fake and dangerous. I also don't like spending more than I must, so I pick wisely. My Norton plan was for 20 devices, much more than I have but means my laptops, and home computers all get covered. All in all, I am please with the seamless operation of the Norton software.

I remember when I used to have a Malware program, a antivirus program, a VPN program, maybe even a 2nd malware program. It was such a pain to always keep all of them updated with the latest definitions and things like that.
Then Norton came into my life and made everything a WHOLE lot easier!
Setting up the program could not have been easier. Within a few minutes it was installed, and I was up and running. It is a pretty foolproof system so even if you are not a very tech-savvy person you will still be able to use this program with ease. When I say use it, I mean really use it, on everything you own! It comes with a whopping 20 devices that you can set it up on for the one price you pay for it. That is unbelievable in this day and age. Most companies are really limiting the number of devices you can use, and Norton is increasing it!
With software like this it can be a challenge to review it because for most users it's pretty rare that you come across a virus or things like that. I will say that I am a very experienced computer user and I do NOT recommend anyone do this unless you know what you're doing. I decided to open a few files and go to a few websites that I knew would attempt to give me a virus or some kind of malware. I am happy to report that Norton protected me and made sure nothing bad happened to my PC.
This truly is a full suite of products designed to completely protect you on the internet. From the usual virus protection to password manager all the way up to a VPN. This really is the complete package!
I have to say its a little pricey for this package, but Norton offers many different levels and different packages so you're sure to find one that fits your budget. Norton has been around forever and there is a reason for it, because their products just work!
I highly recommend checking this out, or a cheaper package if it's in your budget if you are looking for great all-around protection for all of your internet connected devices.

This Norton 360 Platinum for 20 devices is a great value! We have kids with multiple devices and between work, home, and schools devices we have them all covered now under one subscription and have a few installs to spare!
The installation and interface is a breeze as it always is with Norton. The antivirus then runs quietly in the background and I rarely even think about it as I know its doing its thing.
One feature that I haven't had until this product is the Software Updater. It seems to work well and makes total sense that it comes with this product as the goal is to protect the computer. With Norton scanning your programs to see which ones need updates, they are basically closing any security flaws in your computer that could let hackers in. Genius!
Of the other features that come with this package... Dark Web Monitoring, Secure VPN, Cloud Backup, and Password Manager, etc... the only one I am a little disappointed with is the Cloud Backup. It works fine but 100 GB just isn't much in today's world of high quality digitals and photos. So its backing up the important files for my PC which is the main goal and it works great, but would be nice to fit a little more of the personal files in for a one stop backup shop.
So yes, if you have a family with many devices, this package is a no brainer with great value. I would highly recommend.

Norton is a trusted name in computer security and this software meets all internet security needs. Setup is simple and straightforward. 20 device licenses are included to cover PCs, tablets and cell phone devices. I really like the fact that includes VPN and this option does not need to be purchased separately. Norton's Password Manager is included and it is the best password management I have used across all my devices. Updates and security scans are quick. You have the option to run a Smart Scan that only checks the most frequently vulnerable areas to made scans even quicker. I have been playing around with crypto mining for some time and Norton includes a secure crypto mining option within the software. You are able to mine Ethereum with available unused PC resources. It is not going to make you rich, but the estimate on my PC with a RTX3080 graphics card is around $30 per month with it staying on most all the time. You can make more money crypto mining elsewhere, but it is comforting to know that Norton is securely controlling the process since most other mining options must bypass internet security protocols. The only downside I have experienced is the constant notifications to purchase additional services when smart scans are ran. In additional there is a tab at the bottom for buying additional services that cannot be hidden. The only additional service I am trying is Utilities Ultimate and it is working very well. In summary, Norton 360 Platinum has all the security features to cover all of your devices. There are a lot of additional quality services available that you may or may not want. It would be nice if Norton gave an option to hid the features you are not using.

First time I am using a secure VPN service and I couldn't be happier with the simplicity and quality so far. I received the product key via email and followed the instructions to download the software on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone. The software for Mac OS is straight forward and all you need to do is create an account. It gives you the option to share feedback and other privacy, but it's not required. I appreciate how easy I can switch the region of the VPN especially because I follow F1, and for some reason I don't get some content on YouTube, and when I change my region to the UK, I can watch videos from Sky Sports without a problem. I also appreciate the ability to block ads and in just one week it blocked 2.3k ads, it's crazy! It can also provide some higher WiFi security and I have this enable as well just for additional security even though Macs are less prone to viruses. Finally, you can use Cloud Backup, but I haven't used this feature yet so I can comment on this one just yet. Overall, I am satisfy with this product and I am actually recommending it to my friends. I can't wait to use this while I am out of the country so I can continue to watch some of the content that we lose access to when we are overseas.

Hi Bob - Thanks for your review. You are correct - the retail store version of Norton 360 can unfortunately not be used to renew an existing subscription, often because the device counts may not match. *However*, you can add the new license to your existing Norton account - hopefully near the expiration of the current subscription - and the new license will take over when the old expires, typically updating the client license auto-magically! Hope this helps - DWN

Norton Platinum 360 gives great protection.
With protection for 20 devices you can protect everything. It works with desktops, laptops, tablets, and cell phones.
Downloading the product was easy and quick. Setting up takes some time as you need to enter your info so it can give full protection.
It was quick to find some info on the dark web and notify me of where and when it had happened. You can have it search for you via email addresses, home address, phone number, credit card, social security, bank accounts.
Having VPN to keep data safe when on public networks is peace of mind.
Scanning was quick on both laptop and phone. It gives full protection from viruses and malware. It will check the apps on your phone and let you know if they are safe or if there are risks.
I don't use my devices in public much, so other than finding my email from some old security breaches, my devices have been deemed safe and protected. And with this product I have peace of mind for a year knowing they will stay that way.

I was able to install Norton antivirus in few easy steps. As soon as the installation was completed, I was curious to run a quick scan on my machine to see if there was any malware or suspicious files. I have intact had issues lately with computer slowness and multiple issues on my windows causing the system to slow down and also at times opens up web pages that I did not intend to.
This quick scan I ran with Norton identified around 500 plus files they were suspicious and performed a clean. As part of the clean, I had to delete those files which were not very important anyway. After the scan I have used the system for about 5 days now and I certainly see a good performance. I do not see those websites or webpages opening up automatically. I usually don’t believe in this concept, but Norton certainly proved me wrong.
I am loving this subscription and I am super excited to try it on my Mac as well. It has multiple device license for a year and I am quite certain I would renew the license after a year to keep my computers clean and safe. When I browse websites, it does prompt the ones that are suspicious.
I would definitely recommend this to my friends.
