I didn't care for this at all. It is too almost childlike. Doesn't give good editing options.

I like things simple and this was not simple at all

I bought this program to edit videos and this Program does not work as promised to edit a simple 20 min video it took 4 hours to upload to the program. I do not have all day to edit a video. I will be using my movie maker that is already on my computes that only takes about an hour to edit form beginning to end. This program is a waste of money unless your only using it to edit pictures.

Easy to use program, great for beginners, many options,

I thought it would be an easy program to make a holiday card with but it wasn't. There is minimal photo editing capabilities, and all of the templates included are childish or something a grandmother would choose to decorate her sewing room with. Once you've created the card or picture that you want, you cant save it as any other file type except the one that opens in that program only. That makes it impossible to put the image on a removable storage device to have it printed. Even if you have your own printer, the image does not print correctly. I only had half of the image print, then it stopped printing and would not print again after that. Do not buy this simple minded software.

I used Photo Explosion Version 2.0 for years on my Windows XP computer and loved it. Since my XP no longer works as well as it once did, I have acquired a Windows 7 computer and purchased Photo Explosion Deluxe Version 5 for Windows 7. PEDV5 is not as user friendly as the earlier 2.0 version. The editing features are not as fine tuned, and the red eye correction tool, seriously? Plus, the entire program will shut down after editing 1 or 2 photos. I will continue to try and work with this program but feel I will be replacing it with another company's photo editing program. Thank you.

I purchased the product to move from Win7 to Win10 - using PhotoImpact Pro 13 on the older system. Photo Explosion 5 Deluxe installs and runs, but crashes regularly. It's text manipulation for photos is much more limited than the old product and it lacks a lot of standard features for photo-editing (i.e. - NO flood-fill for for colors - pretty standard on even the freebies.) I have both Canon & Nikon RAW photos, which it claims to support. Note that by "support" they mean that you can download the codec for that file from the manufacturer. That works for Nikon, but the link for Canon was broken. Looking @ the Canon site shows that it is not available unless you buy a Canon editor. Fortunately I had (and moved) PhotoImpact Pro over to the Window 10 box - now the CR2 files will open. But if you don't have the older product you are out of luck. The editing features are weak, but probably fun for the kids. (Meaning Middle-school on down) Cute but not particularly practical, other than red-eye reduction. But that's free with most anything else. This would be a reasonable Shareware editor or for the very young. For actually adjusting photos, not so much. BTW - the "Money Back Guarantee" demands that every piece of paper in the mostly empty box be included, along with a sales-receipt. You pay the cost (around $15) for a tracked - package back to them (They recommend Media Rate USPS which would require you to lie to the USPS about content - this is not an audio or video recording.) If you miss something in the box they will destroy the package and again, you are out of luck. I have never rated anything a 2 before. I gave it that because it is a useful program for those wishing to put cute special effects on kids photos. It is exceptionally basic and not a full-feature product.

Don’t waste your money buying Photo Explosion Deluxe Version 5. Like a previous user I had a much older version of Photo Explosion and was happy with it. Unfortunately that early version wouldn’t work with Windows 7. Version 5 is slow to load photos and slow making editing adjustment to pictures. For some reason one of my photos was always loaded into the editing screen flipped 90 degrees. Also after editing one or two photos a message appears that the software has quit working and then closes without saving any of the editing changes to the photo you’re currently working on. This is very disappointing photo editing software.

I was at Best Buy looking for a picture/ photo program to replace an older Micro Soft Picture It 99 version. I thought how hard could it be to pick a new picture editing program. Boy was I wrong, the Photo Explosion Deluxe 5 was a waste of the $39 dollars I spent on it. Plus, no return on opened software at Best Buy makes me think that I will never buy any software from this company again. Don't they try out what they sell? Do your research before buying this software unless you have extra money to throw away!

The program has never worked since I installed it. When I called their technical support they wanted more money to fix THEIR program. Never heard of such horrible service. There are a lot of other people with similar problems. Don't buy, it's a COMPLETE waste of money.

Easy to install and easy to work with the photos. Fun to add to the photos. Nice to have an instruction manual in my hand.

Error upon loading Photo Explosion has stopped working...NO FIX

Piece of junk,they would not even take it back on return,that's how bad it is,software would not install properly,It doesn't have good options for editing.

Despite hours with Nova techs, software would not install properly. Retuned product for a refund.
