Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the Nutri Ninja BlendMax DUO Auto-iQ Boost blender's power, ease of use, and blending capabilities, frequently praising its performance in creating smoothies and crushing ice. However, some customers noted that the blender is quite large and noisy. While the powerful motor is a plus for many, the size and noise level may be drawbacks for some users.

Unboxed our Ninja Duo Vitamin & Extraction with tumblers and bowl accessory and did what anyone would do first: Made a frozen cocktail. Using the Auto-IQ feature for "smoothies" we loaded up our tumbler with lots of ice and adult beverage mix. The tumblers are nicely marked with "maximum fill" lines as well as ounce markings to help you if you aren't the kind of person to just "wing it." I intentionally under-filled the liquid for our first frozen beverage to see how the unit would handle a thicker drink. We hit the auto smoothie button and 55 seconds later it was done with an even, pulverized, "slurpee" consistency. No icy chunks. We also made a more traditional "post-workout" smoothie with a little ice, some frozen fruits (strawberries/blueberries), pineapple, some veggies (nothing thicker than carrots) and protein powder. Again, pushed the auto smoothie button and 55 seconds later a perfectly blended mix with no chunks. Our last test was the "dough" feature with our Nutri bowl attachment and the all-plastic mixer blade. Although there is a nice owners manual and recipe guide (which we did look at briefly for inspiration--recipe suggestions are also on their website), we grabbed a bag of just-add-liquid-and-eggs cookie dough mix at the store and let the Ninja have at it. Like the tumbler, the bowl has "max liquid" and "max fill" lines. We added the ingredients, hit the Fusion Bowl button and 35 seconds later we were just about ready to back cookies. With Auto-IQ turned on, you could hear the Ninja change speeds to help blend the dough evenly. We did have to scrap the sides and use the pulse button to get every bit of the dry goods mixed in, but realistically we were ready to bake cookies within 90 seconds. Cleanup is easy. Top rack dishwasher safe accessories. The design of the accessories is better than some if Ninja's competitors. For example, the tumbler is designed with the threads on the INSIDE of the lip of the cup so you don't feel them when drinking, nor do you need a special ring to cover the threads when drinking directly from the tumbler. And of course, the concept of "one base for multiple purposes" is nice given Ninja sells accessories at a reasonable price. The Ninja Duo Auto-IQ system would get 5-stars from me if it weren't for the following: It is loud. Louder than any blender I have ever owned. This is not surprising given how fast the blades spin and how well it pulverizes ice. The base even has suction cups to help hold it to your counter top! The bowl accessory (for units that include the bowl) is a bit small. As mentioned above, it is fine for a premixed bag of dough but not the tool for making several dozen cookies loaves of bread. Lastly, the tumblers are a bit tall and required changing the height of our shelves for storage. In fact, storage in general is a bit of a challenge given the tumblers don't stack inside each other, and depending on accessories, there may be separate blades, tumblers, bowls, etc. to have to keep track of. Overall, however, this product hands-down beats the competitors and is less effort than pulling out the old blender for a quick smoothie or juice.

Best Blender I Have Ever Used

The quality of the juice that I made from this blender is very good. I am definitely going to experiment with all of the different functions this blender has. Also, all of the additional items that come with this blender are great. I did have a problem using the Auto IQ button for what I was making, hopefully the manual can explain. Also even though it was 88oz, I have another blender that is cheaper and is the same size and is a no frills version. I would recommend this blender if you are going to use it for more than just making smoothies. Or if you live in a household where multiple people or juice and/or smoothie drinkers.

I love this blender. I have a small kitchen and this replaced 2 different sized food processors as well as a blender. It is quite tall, so be sure your storage space can accommodate its measurements. My favorite feature is the individual cups that it comes with. We can make smoothies for each person in the family without having to wash anything. The cups also make it very convenient to use on the go or freeze any leftovers. It is very powerful and has handled any challenge we have given it. Everything comes out with a very smooth consistency. I also love the auto settings - I can just set it to go and it makes a perfect smoothie in 45 seconds. The only downside is that it is very loud, but that is to be expected with such a powerful motor. As long as you don't mind the noise and you have room enough to store this machine, you will not be disappointed. It is fantastic.

This blender is a beast! It's loud, but that is to be expected with this much power. Cleanup is made easier by the removable blades and the fact that the attachments are dishwasher safe. We mostly use it for smoothies, but one thing we've noticed is that seeds, which on most blenders don't get properly pulverized, are no match for the Ninja's "Pro Extractor Blades". You can determine how long your blends need, or you can use the "Auto-IQ" one-touch settings. For most things I've found them to be accurate, but a couple of times I've had to blend longer. If you want a blender that can pretty much do it all and that has plenty of power to spare, you can't go wrong with the Blendmax Duo.

I cannot say enough about this blender!! It is perfect for our home. My wife has been wanting a blender like this to make smoothies for some time. It comes with 3 different containers which can be used to make individual treats for each of us in my family. My wife can have her smoothies and my son and I can have our milkshakes! My wife has even used it to make dough and frosting. One of the best aspects of this blender is the power. It is the most powerful blender I have ever had. Nothing slows it down.
