Works fine for thick and dense veggies too. I was using a cheaper one prior and let me say HUGE difference in the blend. You get what you pay for basically! Aside from the blend it comes with several cup options and provides a great aesthetic for the kitchen

Awesome for smoothies

Best aspect is that it is extremely easy to clean. Barely ever take out the blender to make a smoothie because its too much of a pia to take the parts apart and clean thoroughly. The nutribullet is so easy to rinse after using that I just rinse in about 15 seconds and then put everything out to dry.

This blender is great. I have used it to make smoothies, blend vegetables, and I even minced meat in it once (which surprisingly turned out well). I've been using it daily since then, only replacing the main unit once last month. I'd say I got my money's worth (5years!) The only things i replaced are the blade assembly (every 6 months).
