It is loud but that's because of how powerful it is. I will say that you MUST tightly secure the screw on blade or it will leak. It requires using some strength. If you have arthritis or can't close lids tightly, based on my experience, this device won't be a good match.

All the parts have easy cleanup as they are allowed in the dishwasher under proper settings. While it is single serve, the larger canister makes enough for two.
