Only challenge is that the 3070 is being released in Oct. So it's best to save your beans and order that card when it's released.

Had to settle for this card since all of the 3080's never went on sale. But I'm really happy with it, great for 1140p gaming.

Finally made the move from 3 gens ago and it's gud

So, I had an old Zotac 970 that had a fan with a failing bearing, making a lot of noise. I waited a couple months for BestBuy to have this in stock during the pandemic lockdown because I liked the MSRP for the reference design case and backplate. Purchased June 2020 3 months before 3000 series was announced. Fast forward to November, and the Fan 2 logic controller has developed the "inverted sensor" problem where it will full speed (4600 rpm) Fan 2 at idle. Ironically, if I run Folding At Home on it so that it idles at more than 50 degrees, the Fan 2 will return to idle until it cools down too much.... I even bought the Geek Squad replacement plan, but since Nvidia cancelled production I am going to have to RMA it back to Nvidia for repair/refurb. My problem now is how I am going to get a replacement card while I wait for the RMA to complete with 3000 inventory levels as it is, will have to be an excruciating vigilance on restock trackers for an overpriced 3000 AIB. -4 for Nvidia business practices and Quality Control; +1 for the original MSRP

Very good card. Highly recommend. Do not see that much performance different in most games compared to rtx 3080

I must of gotten a lemon. The card arrived quickly. It ran awesome for a little bit, then the frame rates started to drop, creating stuttering on games. I started getting artifacts.......then nothing.

The card ran great for about two days. Eventually, the card began causing BSOD and general instability. Games wouldn't run for longer than 5 minutes on average. Programs like blender couldn't make it through a render longer than seven minutes. The only bright side was that the return process was painless and literally took less time than it would take the GPU to crash my computer. The return window is just 14 days, so be sure to stress test the card the first week just in case you too get a bad one.
