Difficult to get, but the performance is worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a 1080Ti, the performance has honestly blown me away. I'm getting 170-200 fps in Black Ops CW at 1440p, textures/models maxed, ray tracing off and DLSS set to quality. Temps get up to ~76c but it's in a smallish case (Fractal Design Nano S). Major downside was actually getting it. It was a frustrating experience, even if supply issues can't be helped. I was lucky enough to catch the 11/10 drop. To be fair, Best Buy has better bot protections than other sites, which I appreciate. I've experienced freezing/crashing on youtube with firefox, but I assume driver updates will sort it. And yeah the 12-pin adapter is awkward, but I can wait for third party companies to offer sleeved variants. Overall I'm extremely happy with it. If you can hold out until stock stabilizes, and you can buy it at msrp, do it. It's absolutely worth it.

An absolute MONSTER.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying that I upgraded from a Gigabyte GTX 1070 8 GB, so this was already a sizeable performance increase. But, my god, I was not prepared for just how fast this thing is. If you're looking for a solid gaming card, look no further. Obviously it's not completely futureproof with only 10 GB of vram, but I would wager you would be fine for at least another 2 generations. I won't put any performance benchmarks since you can easily find those from Youtube or anywhere else, but it slays 1080p, 1440p and 4K is no sweat either. (If you're specifically an Overwatch player, then this card will max out at around 300-350 FPS in normal 'competitive' (low) settings at 1080p IN-MATCH. Not the practice range, in an actual game. Wanted one of those nice 360hz monitors? This'll get you to 360 as long as you have a good CPU as well). I ALSO stream on Twitch with a single PC setup, and this thing does it in a breeze. Still a tiny bit of lag, of course, but if you pair it with a solid Ryzen CPU or an i9 10900K, you should BARELY see any hit. Frankly, imho, THIS is the coolest 3080 and the one you want. The best way to describe this thing is like some sort of futuristic space tool. It's sleek and just looks SO good in, frankly, any case. If you like minimalistic design or sleek edges, this is the card you're looking for. I picked this up online by sheer luck (believe it or not), just randomly checking the page and it appeared for about 5 total seconds. For everyone who's trying to upgrade, I'm sorry that Nvidia has such awful yields with 8N that they can't keep up with supply. Hopefully they sort that as fast as possible.

Beautiful and amazing performance
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing card. I was fortunate to buy one with hard work and reasearch! This card performs so well and it is so beautiful! Running all games on high/ultra on 1440p with zero issues. The card does have a bit of coil whine when playing heavy games but its not too noticeable. Temps are <75C when on heavy use. Overall, great card.

Such a great experience
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally scored this card early January 2021 after stalking it for a couple months and figuring out the system to purchase it. First thing I noticed was how great the packaging is. It really sets you up to expect a quality feeling product inside the box, and then it doesn't disappoint. They provide the usual documentation and an adapter to power the card with two 8 pin cables. The card itself is so solid and sleek. If you like the picture, you will love the actual product. Install was smooth, and exactly what you'd expect. Installing GeForce Experience and drivers on a brand new build was flawless. I put an anti-sag bar on it due to its weight being a bit alarming, but so far I am thinking it's not really necessary. Compared to another brand 3080 of similar weight in an identical build I made, this card seems more secure and less prone to sag. I love the rear exhaust so much. For those unfamiliar, this design dumps some of the exhaust out the back near the display ports and the rest inside the case upwards. My system temps are overall lower than my spouse's identical build with a different 3080 that exhausts inside the case. After trying it at stock settings for a bit, I paired it with Afterburner and everything works great. Performance and temps are right where I want them. The subtle RGB stripe is classy, when I can get my software to keep the color settings lol Overall, highly recommend, especially with the price increase on the partner models. Flawless 2k 144hz gaming on max settings in all games I have tried, 4k is great too.

Best GPU of the Decade!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went from a 10 series GPU to this. This blew it out of the water. Although stock is very scarce, it is really worth it once you get your hands on one! Design is very industrial with all the full metal build. It just screams high quality. Only compliant would be it sometimes gets loud due to the blower fan. Not really an issue, and can be fixed easily with a fan curve adjustment, undervolt, new pads, etc.

Absolute BEAST
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is crazy good. It's design looks great and it feels the most sturdy out of every GPU I've owned. It's crushed anything I've thrown at it so far. I'm excited to throw some ray tracing at it since I'm upgrading from cards that came well before RTX. You can't beat the price to performance on this thing. Be patient and wait for stock to normalize, because getting this kind of product at 700 bucks is insane.

Awesome if you can get it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best bang-for-your-buck 3080, as these prices haven't skyrocketed beyond MSRP. Design is beautiful in a minimal way compared to the RGB mess of AIB cards. Be warned it runs hot (although still very performant, its meant to run hot). Just something to think about when building and organizing. lastly - if you have a corsair PSU get the custom power cable to reduce clutter!

A miracle I somehow got this
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I somehow lucked out and got this into my cart. It runs quiet for the most part when the fans aren't spinning. During gaming the fans do noticeably whiney and loud but if you play with headphones its not a problem. Runs relatively cool for a stock cooler, no issues with temps and throttling in my case. Very clean aesthetics. If you are able to get this at sticker price, then like me you've won the lotto. These are going for more than double on eBay. Screw you scalpers!

Best GPU on the market
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely great card for the price. I purchased the card after already owning a 3070fe and I was so surprised on the increase in performance. It sits at about 75 degrees when running hard but the fan doesn't run above 45 percent so I think the card is okay with the temperature. This card is absolutely beautiful and I personally think the best looking card for sale today.

Beat Bang for Your Buck!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent and amazing card considering I upgraded from a very old, outdated card nearly a decade old. With some undervolting and tweaked fan curves, the FE performs strongly and still remains cool and quiet while consuming less power than stock. Best bang for buck card!

Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly is way more power then i need i got my 144hz 1440p display and i fire up this 3080 it just cuts thru all games like butter! Super smooth and for some reason if a game is super demanding and can’t sustain the 144fps Gsync kicks in and everything is still super smoth!! This 3080 i definitely a beast dont fall for this 4080 expensive l for no reason the 3080 is where its at !!

Exactly what you would expect.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Crazy performer.Exactly what you would expect from a 3080. Extreme value if you can get this for MSRP or the price it is now vs all the board partners' cards. FE works just as well as other AIB's since Nvidia keeps the best bins for themselves. Will run a little hot at idle, but will also be surprisingly cool under load with the new thermal design.

Overclocking BEAST
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was lucky enough to nab this from Best Buy just before Christmas. I LOVE the design, so I had to try to smile through the tears when I took it apart to put a waterblock on it. The PCB on this thing is so tiny! I was worried it would look comically small in my large case, but this card with a waterblock vertically mounted gives the rest of your build a chance to shine cosmetically as well. I can’t comment on stock thermals, but I can say that this card overclocks like a beast when you give it thermal headroom. At stock settings, this GPU was in the top 50% on 3DMark’s Timespy benchmark as compared to other 3080s tested (in other words, perfectly average). After toying around in Afterburner with overclocking, I was able to get this card in the top 5% of all 3080s tested in Timespy. I could probably push further, but this is good enough for me! Even with the aggressive overclock, temps never exceed 52c. This is in a custom loop, mind you. Some people get even lower temps than that but I’m running my PC in a hotter than average room.

Awesome video card IF you can find one!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best video card you could buy right now. Plays games great at 4K and ray tracing looks amazing. Thermals are around 73C which is fine. Be aware you should have good airflow in your case for these monsters -- 350watts is nothing to sneeze at. Also HDMI 2.1 is finally a thing so my OLED TV can be used at 4K 120hz with G-sync. Simply glorious.

Great Buy if you can get it at MSRP
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really proud to be an owner of one of NVIDIA's top GPUs. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a RTX 3080 and boy can I say this was a huge upgrade from the 1660ti. I never had the 1080 or the 2080, so I can't compare to those, but for me and with my actual card, it was a great upgrade. It offers great value for the price. The 3090 may be the top tier card, but the 3080 offers a ton of bang for your buck! I'm glad I got this! I'm glad I didn't try for the 3070 or the 3060 or the 3060ti. I am also glad I went with the Founder's Edition. I heard some stuff about some others and I decided to just go for what NVIDIA wanted and it is great. I do wish I could change the Geforce RTX color from white...but hey, it's just a small detail. It wasn't worth spending the extra money to get one of the other ones just for different RGB options. Plus...I can turn it off if I want to.

Really happy with my purchase
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was trying to buy an RTX 3070 but I somehow got lucky and was able to add this to my cart. I did not think twice before buying this card knowing that it will require a new case and power supply. I upgraded from RTX 2070 super and even though this card performs a lot better than the 2070 super I think the upgrade is not really worth it for gaming unless you are very picky about the frame rate and graphics quality. This card runs a bit louder and hotter than the previous gen cards but its not a big issue for me since I use headphones while gaming and I have a nice Be Quite Pure Base 500DX case which limits the noise and controls temperature a lot better than the other mid-range cases. I would definitely recommend this card to anyone who is buying their first card but upgrading from the last gen will not give you the most bang for your buck. Good luck if you are trying to get one of these cards!
