Customers value the GeForce RTX 3080's high performance and competitive price, frequently praising its powerful GPU and effective cooling system. Many appreciate the card's design and its ability to handle ray tracing well, although some experienced noticeable fan noise or coil whine. While power consumption is a concern for some, others found it acceptable.

Runs hotter than the partner cards. Consider getting GP-Extreme(or equivalent) thermal pads for the backplate. 2.5mm or 3mm pads work over the memory on the backplate side.

Board is awesome... Had some issues with Flight Simulator and board overheat. Still checking it but it only happens with MSFS 2020 when temperature goes over 70C.

Laud as a mini vacuum. Sold it and with the profits and a little more I bought a real 3080Ti from Asus

It's a great card. The only complaint is it's extremely loud. I upgraded from a 2080 Card.

This card is only getting a 1 star due to the fact it performs horribly!!! I recently bought 2 of these cards, upgrading 2 systems. One system replacing a gtx 1080 and the other a 1070. My current system is equipped with a MSI z490 A Pro intel i7 10700KF and 32GB of ram. The system is by no means bottlenecking this card. I only game at 1080p on a 1080p monitor 144hz. This card cant even get over 60fps in Black Ops cold war with the settings turned down and ray tracing disabled. I cant even think about enabling ray tracing because then my fps drop in the low teens. Ive contacted nvidia about said issue cuz i thought maybe i had a bad card but then i got a second one and same thing. There is no way i got 2 bad cards. Do yourself a favor and just stay away from this card. I almost forgot to mention the noise from this card. The coil whine is INSANE once you start playing a game its just loud, you can even hear it over the fans.

Runs a lil hotter than I’d like. Upwards of 70-80C. Can’t complain too much as GPU circumstances around the world. A 3080 is a 3080!

Great card but suffers from poor cooling. Memory pads should ideally be replaced and thermal paste could be better too.

This is was Turing should’ve been. The price to performance isn’t quite as good at the GTX 1080 was when it came out but at least it’s better than both the 2080 and 2080 super when they came out. On the other hand, the memory junction on this goes beyond 100 C which is kind of absurd. You’d expect better from an FE.

you will want to repad this but it'll still overheat because the thermal pads are a weird size. but for 700 there should be higher quality thermal pads and I shouldn't need to spend another 50 for change this. other than that it's ok but really doesn't feel worth 700.

I was very excited when I finally was able to lock this down and start my first PC build, but once I heard the fan coil noise from this card I was very disappointed. It turns out I received a faulty card that makes excessive fan noise and by excessive I mean it sounds like a jet engine. I would have rated it 2 stars but when I contacted Nvidia customer service, they told me that they could not guarantee that they would replace it with a new card and they want me to send the card back before they send me a replacement. I let them know I don't have any other PC and my CPU does not have integrated graphics but they would not budge. After waiting months and spending the money that I did, the manufacturer should make their mistake right. Very disappointed in the decision making at Nvidia

For an $800 product, you would think that Nvidia wouldnt cheap out on thermal pads. The stock thermal pads are really bad and most likely will need to replaced.
