Worth the upgrade over the 3070, spend the extra $200 if possible. I was surprised how much better it was.

I'm one of the lucky ones who got this card, but there's one issue with my card which it is noisy, it has coil whine

Got it after camping all night. It was well worth it though because I’m mining with this card and getting it for the MSRP of $699.99 is awesome. It sucked having to camp out for around 24-hours in the nasty southern summer weather but I’ll do it again and again to be able to buy this card at $699.99. I just wish I could have bought more. I would have bought all 28 3080 FE cards they had in stock if they would have let me.

By the grace of the PC overlords I was somehow able to get this 3080. I'm not sure what I did or how but I finally got one. It lives up to the hype. I've been able to play everything I have on max settings without this thing even breaking a sweat. I hope everyone whose trying to get one is able to without paying an arm and a leg to scalpers.

Great GPU for a good price, The cooler design is not the best for my case, but if you have better airflow it will not be a problem. The issue for me is that my case does not have great airflow so the fan that directs air upwards blows the air into the metal top of the case rather than exhausting out of the case. hoping to solve this by getting better case fans

I run a CRG9 monitor (5120x1440 @120hz) I was previously running a 1080ti and the first week of December I was able to get my hands on a 3070. That thing was awesome. I was finally able to run the whole screen with every game but full res was still not super smooth on more demanding titles like warzone and flight simulator. I was able to snag one of these 3080s and the search is finally over. This thing runs everything, smooth! running anything close to 4k @100+ hz, this is the card you want (unless you are willing to pay double for a few more frames of course). Ya, the 3070 will do, but this one is worth the money. This cooler is kind of weird but I don't have any real weird issues. The 12 pin is really annoying. Ya it comes with an adapter but it is ugly ( a nice full replacement cable can be had for ~$40). When I first installed this thing, one of the wild cables had tangled with my lower intake fan. My GPU temps were high and so were system temps. After realizing what was going on, Everything went to normal.

Coming from a GTX1070, this is a huge step up. If you can get it at MSRP, its a great deal. Provides the necessary horsepower to get all the frames. One small thing about the FE is that it does run warmer than the other cards. Best way I've found to alleviate the extra heat is by undervolting the card to around 930 mV at a boost of 1920 MHz. Does the same thing (if not better) than just normally running and dont get extra heat, power, and frame drops

Finally snagged one after months of trying in vain. This is a killer GPU, beautifully made, quiet, no RGB overkill. Bought it for MSFS 2020 and iRacing. iRacing is more CPU dependent, but MSFS 2020 will give any GPU a workout. This card will get me through the next few years. My only dislike is the placement of the power port results in an awkward cable placement. Maybe an aftermarket adapter will improve this. Keep trying folks, this card is worth it.
