Customers are saying

Customers commend the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB GDDR6X for its exceptional gaming performance and impressive GPU capabilities, frequently praising the card's design and size suitability for various builds. However, some users note the high price point and elevated temperatures during operation, along with occasional fan noise and coil whine. While many appreciate the high resolution capabilities, potential buyers should be aware of these potential drawbacks.

It's a good card no doubt. Runs everything really well, however it's memory temps are crazy. 95+C sometimes 110C then it shuts off. idk if Nvidia cheaped out on thermal pads or what but I feel like I may have no choice but to attempt a pad swap or send it to Nvidia to see if they'll address the heat issue... which I doubt. Other wise I have to undervolt/reduce power to do much or it overheats.

Pretty darn good card. Just sucks nvidia raised msrp after scalpers got the initial stock. Going through an RMA right now, thankfully I was able to buy it legit and get the 3 year warranty. Very helpful customer service.

Big but very quiet. That's what I needed to do when I tell it to do it. It's gorgeous too. You do get a lot of performance out of this card but the price just doesn't seem right for what it is. This card should be $1,000 to be honest compared to a regular 3080. But if you have the cash to spend and if you're not going to be doing any etherium mining you can think of it as buying a cheap 3090.

Other than pretty loud coil whine, it works as advertised. It's able to run my games from overkill (Overwatch 2) to good enough (Warzone 2). I can run mostly maxed settings on Warzone 2 with 120 FPS hard capped (I put that limit), on 1440p 27" 240hz monitor. I capped it because Warzone 2 isn't very optimized... so, it wildly ranges beteween 160-200'ish. The reason I capped it at 120 FPS is because of my 240hz monitor. I recommend researching on your own, but in short... you generally want your FPS to evenly divide by your monitors refresh rate. If you don't, it will be more prone to screen tearing, even with V-sync.

Never had have had a problem with this monster of a card. While it does not have the AI cores of the 40s series that enable frame generation, it can still run most game no problem on high settings.

Amazing gpu with a ekwb! Very easy to put this you underwater and it is overkill for 1440p gaming. I do get coil whine but easily to ignore with turning up the sound of the game.

Probably the most powerful video card you can get in a 2 slot configuration. Works great in my SFF case (I did have to undervolt slightly to keep temps down)! Almost as good as 3090 in a small package.

Amazing card, runs about 400watts and has enough memory to do cudnn training on larger models. Runs any game in 4K and is smooth. Won’t need to upgrade for a while!

Upgraded from a 5700xt, this thing is a powerhouse. Cyberpunk runs around 80-90 frames ultra-setting with RTX all the way up...absolutely looks phenomenal. Runs around 77 degrees Celsius when under a large load and is quiet. Other than the price (oh well) I am happy with it and do not regret it. Maybe not a good time to buy with the new models coming out in months to come, but I'm sure this card will be good for years to come and who knows what will happen with costs and all of these supply excuses to rip off the consumers, so this could pay off finding one at retail.

A solid performance gain over the 3080 FE, though much more expensive. Gauge what you want for your build and price wise what you can afford, but if this fits into both those categories for you, try to get one! Those who say it runs hot must not have sufficient cooling in their case. I have two intake fans right underneath it blowing cool air in. On idle it stays around 30C(fans off), and under heavy load I've never seen it go over 75C while pulling 380+W at full bore. And that's in a NR200P, so in a bigger case you may even get lower temps with fans configured properly. It's a beast

This is a powerhouse! Yes, it's a bit expensive but compares to a 3090. The good point is, it's on a smaller package so it won't take much room on your build.

This card is amazing. Everything maxed (including ray tracing) on my 3440x1440 monitor — getting well over 120 frames even at 80% power. Temps are topping out at 77C on long gaming sessions in my H210i case, but I don’t mind. FE cards obviously have the best value and I couldn’t be more stoked. I’m glad I waited this out instead of pulling the trigger too soon on some AIB markup bs. I got this card by showing up 9 hours before they handed out tickets at the Fresno Best Buy and I was at work by 9 am. If you’re on the fence, do it. Bring cards to play poker while you’re in line.

You can’t beat the founders 3080ti. Msrp price point compared to the 3rd party cards. This thing will do anything you attempt to throw at it. I’m simply blown away but the peak performance.

Honestly one of the most difficult to find items I've ever bought. After being really hyped for the RTX 30 series launch in September 2020 I waited patiently on Newegg's site but they were gone instantly. Needless to say that was the case virtually still one year later (that will likely continue into 2023 even). Everything from parts shortages, to distribution issues, scalpers, have led to a perfect storm of many electronics, especially graphics cards being difficult (or nearly impossible) to find. While I really wanted the 3080, despite it's high MSRP of $800 that really started with the RTX 20 series for pricing, I decided to take a chance at a Best Buy stand in line event to get one. The alternative was potentially waiting a few years or just paying off a scalper at around three times the price and likely paying around $2000. I've waited at other midnight events with lines of maybe 40 people and so with a 7:30am voucher hand out, I decided to show up around 5am. When I arrived there were about 60 people and when they handed out vouchers there were another 60-80 people. I was a few people late to score a 3080, but could grab a 3070Ti, 3080Ti, or a 3090. Having sold my 2080 for a mere $800 months before I knew my only upgrades were the 3080Ti or the 3090. I opted for the $1300 3080Ti as the only real additional benefit of the 3090 is the additional memory. So while I was paying more than I wanted for a 13-15% performance benefit, the additional memory was also a decent upgrade. At nearly twice the price, in a typical market I would have just bought a 3080, but given the situation, the Ti was the way to go. Paired up with my 11900K, Z590 motherboard, NVME drive, 32GB DDR4, and 750W Antec PSU, I was finally good to game. I typically will game in either 4K 30-60fps or sometimes dip down the resolution to 1440p or so for more performance with ray tracing. The DLSS is also a great addition since the RTX 20 series to allow for supersampled resolution upscaling for high frame rates while at a near native 4K. All around I'm pretty happy with my purchase. Temperatures are reasonable on the card though I may opt to remove the cooler and replace the thermal pads as many have shown the ones used with the board are garbage. Replacing the pads (carefully) can lower temperatures fairly considerably, which can help prolong the life of your valuable investment.

Getting this card at msrp was a stroke of good luck. Pairs amazingly with my ryzen 9 5900x and cx oled tv. If the gpu market was more normal I would have opted for the 3080 which is a much better value at msrp but still very happy with my purchase. Cyberpunk 2077, control, and Far Cry 6 all run great at highest settings. Especially with dlss. That’s some next level sorcery on nvidia’s part. I give it 5 stars for value only because of what gpu prices are these days if you can’t get one at msrp. If everything was normal 3080ti is a pretty poor value.
