Customers are saying

Customers commend the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB GDDR6X for its exceptional gaming performance and impressive GPU capabilities, frequently praising the card's design and size suitability for various builds. However, some users note the high price point and elevated temperatures during operation, along with occasional fan noise and coil whine. While many appreciate the high resolution capabilities, potential buyers should be aware of these potential drawbacks.

High framerates, no tearing, very expensive, super sleek. Fits in the case nicely..its not super heavy so it doesnt bend, easy to install. Does run HOT. Dont think it was totally "brand new" had a couple fingerprints on it and dust in the fan.

Honestly one of the most difficult to find items I've ever bought. After being really hyped for the RTX 30 series launch in September 2020 I waited patiently on Newegg's site but they were gone instantly. Needless to say that was the case virtually still one year later (that will likely continue into 2023 even). Everything from parts shortages, to distribution issues, scalpers, have led to a perfect storm of many electronics, especially graphics cards being difficult (or nearly impossible) to find. While I really wanted the 3080, despite it's high MSRP of $800 that really started with the RTX 20 series for pricing, I decided to take a chance at a Best Buy stand in line event to get one. The alternative was potentially waiting a few years or just paying off a scalper at around three times the price and likely paying around $2000. I've waited at other midnight events with lines of maybe 40 people and so with a 7:30am voucher hand out, I decided to show up around 5am. When I arrived there were about 60 people and when they handed out vouchers there were another 60-80 people. I was a few people late to score a 3080, but could grab a 3070Ti, 3080Ti, or a 3090. Having sold my 2080 for a mere $800 months before I knew my only upgrades were the 3080Ti or the 3090. I opted for the $1300 3080Ti as the only real additional benefit of the 3090 is the additional memory. So while I was paying more than I wanted for a 13-15% performance benefit, the additional memory was also a decent upgrade. At nearly twice the price, in a typical market I would have just bought a 3080, but given the situation, the Ti was the way to go. Paired up with my 11900K, Z590 motherboard, NVME drive, 32GB DDR4, and 750W Antec PSU, I was finally good to game. I typically will game in either 4K 30-60fps or sometimes dip down the resolution to 1440p or so for more performance with ray tracing. The DLSS is also a great addition since the RTX 20 series to allow for supersampled resolution upscaling for high frame rates while at a near native 4K. All around I'm pretty happy with my purchase. Temperatures are reasonable on the card though I may opt to remove the cooler and replace the thermal pads as many have shown the ones used with the board are garbage. Replacing the pads (carefully) can lower temperatures fairly considerably, which can help prolong the life of your valuable investment.

Getting this card at msrp was a stroke of good luck. Pairs amazingly with my ryzen 9 5900x and cx oled tv. If the gpu market was more normal I would have opted for the 3080 which is a much better value at msrp but still very happy with my purchase. Cyberpunk 2077, control, and Far Cry 6 all run great at highest settings. Especially with dlss. That’s some next level sorcery on nvidia’s part. I give it 5 stars for value only because of what gpu prices are these days if you can’t get one at msrp. If everything was normal 3080ti is a pretty poor value.

Phenomenal gpu, it’s a real workhorse. Haven’t ran into a single game that challenges it, and card runs very cool for my build.

Basically a 3090 with half the vram, runs pretty cool. I'm running a NZXT case and hit max like 65C. Unfortunately I did not get this at msrp about 5 months ago. Pretty sleek minimalistic design which I love compared to AIBs.

It is a Beast of a Card! Worth picking up now if you can get a good deal on it. I got it when MSRP was hard to get, so I am very happy with the graphics card.

Absolutely excellent performer. Makes a locked 4k 144hz in the games I play possible. Looks and feels nice. Runs pretty cool and quiet. Takes a ton of power though. Too expensive however for what is really a modest increase in performance compared to my 6800XT.

If you don't need 24GB of VRAM (which is true for most gamers), then the 3080 Ti is the best card you can get. It will perform just as good as a 3090 when it comes to games (I also have a 3090 FE and can confirm there is basically no difference). It will run basically every game over 120fps at 4K on high settings. Founders Edition cards also look the best, in my opinion. Just be sure your case has good airflow, because the GPU core is basically a 3090 inside a 3080 cooler, so it will get warm.

This card can play basically anything you can throw at it. It's basically a slightly less powerful 3090 in a 3080-sized card. But it's wildly overpriced. If you can't get a 3080 and are willing to spend extra money, buy this. If you are extremely careful about how much money you are spending, wait another two weeks and buy the 3080. It's $500 less and is only slightly slower, although it is much harder to find at a reasonable price.

This is excellent and absolutely beast GPU ever, I finally bought one in person that what I am really happy, however Nvidia CEO had no idea about it so expensive terribly. So I have to figure it out something I need to add 9 fans because I don’t want gpu to get heat temperatures anymore. Thank you for deciding about Best Buy in only person not online when I hate a bots online so greedy, Best Buy!

Since it's rare to get one of these bad boys, I highly recommend getting an RTX. After attempting (and failing) to get the RTX 3080, the RTX 3080 TI works just as good. The only drawback is the price, but it beats paying a higher amount through a third party. If you are able to get this graphics card, it is worth the purchase. Gaming at 4K and smooth framerates is what these NVIDIA cards can do. Once you have this, you won't need to upgrade for years to come.
