Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the GeForce RTX 3090's outstanding performance and excellent GPU, with many praising its efficient cooling and solid build quality. However, some users find the card's high price and large size to be drawbacks. A few also reported experiencing coil whine and noted its high power consumption and substantial weight.

I put this into my pc and after 2 days of testing it, I found that the top fan made a terrible whining sound after it would get above 55% fan speed. The bottom fan was perfect and only made a wind noise when it was pushed above 80%. The card also would randomly spin the fans to 90% during a benchmark loop. After looking it up it a lot of people were saying that the memory may be getting too hot on some people's cards. The core temp was perfect at 67c but the fans would ramp to 90% bringing the core down to 50 something which didn't make any sense other than something on the PCB was getting too hot and would spin up the fans. In the end, I returned it because I was not satisfied with spending that much and having those issues. Besides that, the card is a beast compared to my old 1080. I may change my mind if I can get my hands on another 90 that doesn't disappoint me as the previous one did.

I’m returning mine. Not worth double the price over the RTX 3080. Save your money.

Not sure if the value for performance is worth it but a phenomenal graphic card, quality made. Cooling is debatable

Runs hot when playing gamez, runs hot when mining. Requires thermal pads replacement for optimal performance.

Get the 3080 over this one. Can’t beat the FE msrp prices, good luck getting one though.

It's a great card but you definitely need to change out the thermal pads as the VRAM gets extremely hot.

Very good for its price. Only thing is that you have to change the thermal pads to make it work well.

The price is the best comparing with other cards. But it is not the best performance card among all the 3070

Great for 4k gaming, and pairs well with the LG OLED TVs. Though the price for performance isn't the greatest.

Card arrived in a damaged box, and was a week later than estimated. Would not recommend; this card is generally only 10% faster than the 3070, but is 50% more expensive. Only purchase this if you must absolutely have the latest and greatest, or like me, they were out of all the other cards.

Great card, good for gaming and heavy workload tasks. VRAM temps are pretty bad during heavy rendering, I had to take the card apart and change thermal pads myself. Unacceptable on a $1500 card. The card was also loud until I changed thermal pads myself
