Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the GeForce RTX 3090's outstanding performance and excellent GPU, with many praising its efficient cooling and solid build quality. However, some users find the card's high price and large size to be drawbacks. A few also reported experiencing coil whine and noted its high power consumption and substantial weight.

It was a real experience trying to purchase this GPU card. My wife and I got to the Best Buy parking lot at 3:30am to wait for the store to open at 7:30am - just for the chance to buy one of these cards. It was worth the wait…. I couldn’t be happier.

The best graphics card money can buy

This is pricey, but it's the best graphics card out there right now. If you want price-to-performance ratio, go for the 3060Ti or 3070, and if you want the best reasonably-priced card, go for the 3080. This card is overkill - but if you have the money, why not?!

Powerful graphics card at a steep price

Nvidia's Ampere architecture is a huge leap in performance from the previous generation and the RTX 3090 is the fully featured GPU with 24gigs of DDR6X memory. Buy this for productivity not for gaming. The price is too high to consider this as just a gaming graphics card.

You want the best? You will pay dearly. Although, the RTX 3090 is a much better value than last gen's RTX Titan at $2,499 MSRP. This is currently, and most likely will remain, the only Ampere consumer grade graphics card with an NVLink connector. Two are better than one.

It's a 3090. Not worth buying over the 6800xt/3080 but getting this at MSRP is a win. So take what you can get. It will run hot and loud. Mem temps are high. Consider that when buying and learning how to check the temps of the card.

One of the best cards you can get. Overkill for gamers in my opinion but I see it as a great collectors card. I was lucky enough to buy it on a surprise drop at MSRP. It’s a huge card and one of the biggest cards I ever seen in terms of weight, thickness and weight

This card is the best one out on the market currently, but the price to performance ain’t there. 1,500 is pretty ridiculous for this thing, you better off just selling it to make a quick buck or something, or you can hold onto em and mine with it; whatever suits your needs. Anyways, good luck trying to cop one

Took me a long time to nab the 3090 but it was worth the wait I was going to get the 3080 but I am glad I went with the 3090. Vram on the 3080 would not have been enough because I play a lot of skyrim vr with a lot of mods on it and my V ram usage is about 12

This was an upgrade for me from a 1070. My only complaint is that the memory temperatures have a tendency to get a bit hot. I wish nVidia had included slots on the backplate to allow for some air flow from the memory modules located on the back of the card.

Absolute monster of a GPU for high resolution and ray tracing games. Especially useful if you're into 3D rendering/editing or video work in general. In today's market $1500 for this is actually increasing it's value as most 3080s are now over $1000.

Honestly, a lot of respect for EVGA throughout this pandemic. They are one of the few AIB partners that didn’t jack up the MSRP. They consistently have top notch customer service as well. Definitely earned a fan with me. Love my FTW3 3090.

These disappear so fast. I lucked out and it was pickup only. The card is amazing. I have never spent so much on a card. I would rather have 3080 or a different manufacture with better cooling. The card does have a flawed memory cooling issue. The ram is on both sides of the board and it has to down clock itself to compensate. This is only an issue if you are rendering like I am.

Best GPU without being over 2k from other companies who make them. No issues so far but will prolly put a water block on it since i hear the thermal pads inside are an issue

If you can get one, these are a beast. I've been using it for a few weeks, and the thermals are great, even under load. Some games/libraries are not yet updated for the 30xx series GPUs given their scarcity, so support in AI/ML can be somewhat spotty.

If you can get this for MSRP and you have the disposable cash, go right ahead. This is a fantastic card with a terrific cooler design, and the only 3090 priced at $1500. Expect to have to replace the thermal pads yourself though if you like small PC cases and/or overclocking. The existing ones are shamefully cheap, especially for the memory chips trapped between the back of the PCB and the backplate.

It's performance is amazing. It is ideal for most gpu hungry games and apps. When the fan is running with it's maximum speed it is louder than previous version of rtx 30**. What makes me disappointed is that after 3 weeks of intensive use the memory temperature increases to 110 degree Celsius and it's performance decreased by half. Now I am returning it.
