Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the exceptional performance and effective cooling of the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6X Graphics Card, allowing for high-frame-rate gaming at high resolutions, even with ray tracing enabled. Many appreciate the improved price-to-performance ratio and sleek design, although some note the card's large size. A few users reported experiencing minor coil whine, but overall, the positive feedback on performance and cooling outweighs these concerns.

So I debated between this and the 4090 and at the price point I decided to give this a try. I was not disappointed at all! I’m gaming at 1440p so this thing can handle anything you throw at it with high frame rates. If your questioning it, the answer is yes you should get it.

Fantastic card coming from the RTX 3080. Temperature at max hits around 60c and the power consumption compared to my 3080 is much less.

4080 Super is a powerhouse GPU

Absolutely gorgeous GPU in every aspect. From the sleek all black color way, to the minimalist aesthetic that has been achieved in such a compact form factor. Looks aside, this card has performed beyond expectations. Coming from a RTX 2060 6gb, the performance gains have been astronomical. AAA titles at 2k ultra setting have touched 290fps peaks with stable 260fps average. All this paired with a 4090 cooler, and i have yet to see over 67° while under gaming loads. If you find yourself lucky enough to have the opportunity to purchase one, dont think about it, just do it.

Very good card compared to others in its class. Quiet and very well made. Temps are also very good with basic overclock.

Got extremely good silicon, stock settings during gaming temps are in the low 50's, even while pulling 300w. Insane. Super quiet.

The founders edition has always been my favorite. Very high quality materials and feel. It never really made sense to me to spend more on a 3rd party model. The cooler is absolutely massive and efficient. I’ve had it for 3 months and no complaints. Just as good and the 3080fe that I had before I upgraded to this. It is chunky and heavy but very nice looking and quiet.

Amazing build quality, amazing performance and compact package compared to other brands. I won't get too much into benchmarks because those are easily found online, but I fit it into a Lian Li A4H20 case and my god it looks amazing. Temps usually in the lower 60s and never went above 70 while playing demanding games like Dragon's Dogma 2, Alan Wake 2 and Forza Motorsport. Couldn't recommend it more.

    A Beast GPU

This GPU is a beast in terms of both performance and size. 4k gaming is handled so easily and it runs very cool. Very similar performance to the non super version with a discount and more or less better availability. Still a very expensive piece of hardware though! I would recommend it as the go to card for 4k gaming until the new generation comes out.

    BB Fails at Systems Integration

I had to purchase this card twice. The first transaction was stuck in preparing for pickup for two weeks. I went through usual process almost everyone else does by calling customer support, reading through Reddit posts of people having the same issue, etc. If I had not been diligent in checking the BB website, I probably would have missed getting the card the second time around, because it would make too much sense for BB to fulfill my previous order. Fortunately, I was able to cancel the previous transaction and get a refund. Lessons learned and suggestions for improvement in this experience: 1. Retail systems integration is a stupid problem to have in the 21st century. If an order is placed online for the last item at a particular location, and the transaction makes it to the preparing for pickup phase, then it should not be allowed to be sold again to a customer who happens to be in the store at the same time. Same goes the other way around. Computers are faster than you think. 2. BB customer services needs an overhaul. 3. BB employees or paid shills like to troll BB social media channels and denegrate customers with valid complaints. 4. Nvidia needs to add other retail outlets for their FE cards.

This Gpu works great and looks great, im playing at 1440p and pretty much everything is at 100fps maxed settings, and goes much high than that, playing Pathtracing cyberpunk 2077 at 100 fps with all the bells and whistles turned on is just amazing, couldnt be happier with my purchase, and i cant believe i got a FE on release, thank you God

Paired it with a 7800x3D, and a 4K 120hz OLED monitor -- it handles most AAA games with ease. However do keep in mind that the most demanding titles at 4K (espeically those with ray tracing and path tracing) will need the help from DLSS to reach good frame rate. DLSS 3.0 frame gen is an awesome feature. Smoother all around with no artifacts that bothers me. The only downside: the fans are not the most quiet comparing to other cards I have owned, although they do keep the GPU at very low temps. I set a custom fan curve which helped a bit, but even at the lowest allowed fan speed (30%, ~1100RPM) they are still audible. Really wish NVidia allows lower fan speed to be used -- say at 800RPM they likely becomes inaudible with a bit higher temps, which would be a good tradeoff IMHO.

I upgraded from a 3070ti and I couldn’t be happier. Ik running games on a 1440p monitor and the performance is great. The process to get one (at the time I got mine) was very difficult as best buy can rip one out of your cart. Thankfully I got one though. Its a great card and its made to hit those higher frames at higher resolutions. I’d just be careful with your case size. Its a giant card. Doubles the size of your older cards. I have a 5000d airflow from corsair and had no problems. But a smaller one may present a problem.

Wow! This card is a beast! What a boost in performance compared to my Radeon 6900xt. Almost impossible to find at MSRP, I just got lucky to snatch it from Best Buy. The card is very well built and all black design on the super series is beautiful.

Powers through anything I throw at it! Smooth framerates. Get a good 110fps ray tracing ultra in cyberpunk 2077 in 2k and 80 to 85 in 4k. Very impressive especially since it's $600 less than the 4090. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

A significant boost in performance and power efficiency. My 4080S runs lower temps compared to the previous 3080 I have. Smoother frame times and power consumption, compared to 3080, I can say I'm satisfied with the performance I get while using less.

This card has easily run any of my computer's applications, including games at their highest graphical settings, even when undervolted. Also, I think it looks sleeker than any other 4080 Super.
