Great card! Way smaller than 4080
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great so far! Upgraded from a 4080 so not a huge leap in performance but was able to sell it for 875 so worth the small price for a decent upgrade.

Solid Performance for just a little too much
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I am satisifed with the GPU and the Nvidia featureset. If it had a little more VRAM or the price was a little lower it would be perfect.

Buyer Beware. Missing ROPs. Defective GPUs.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The card works and is an incredible upgrade in performance over the 3070 I used to have. BUT Nvidia shipped a defective card with 104 ROPs instead of the advertised 112. It's upwards of a 10% performance loss. Now I have to RMA the card to get what I payed for. Who knows how long it will take to come back in stock. Unbelievable. Just google RTX 50 series missing ROPs.

Absolute Beast - A Must-Have for 4K Gaming!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was lucky enough to get my hands on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition, and all I can say is, "Wow!" This card is an absolute monster that crushes every modern game I throw at it in 4K with settings maxed out. The sleek, dark gun metal design is a piece of industrial art and looks fantastic in my case with its compact two-slot size. It also runs surprisingly cool and quiet, with temperatures rarely exceeding 60-65°C under full load, which is a major plus.

5080 FE is so good for price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this card! Runs perfect, sleek design, overclocks very well underload and it doesn't get as hot as I though tit would. I'm glad that its smaller then all the other cards on the market.

Great card except for some driver issues.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works exactly as it should. I am not a fan of 12v 2x6, but what can you do at this point. Overall, would be nice if more FE cards were available. Design is very impressive, and cooling is spot on. Runs cool and quiet - as it should. Overall, you get exactly what you expect, if you can get one. Driver issues are still there but hopefully they're fixed soon.

Great card at MSRP
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The RTX 5080 Founders Edition is an excellent card, though I do wish it came with more VRAM. That said, I knew the specs going in and still feel it was the right choice. Some argue that the 5070 Ti offers better value, but in my opinion, a 5080 at MSRP is the smarter buy. One of the biggest advantages is overclocking potential—the 5080 has plenty of headroom and can push surprisingly close to 4090-level performance. It also comes with two decoders compared to just one on the 5070 Ti, which makes a difference for certain workloads. At MSRP, it’s absolutely worth it; above MSRP, not so much. Another factor is resale value. FE cards historically hold their value better, making upgrades down the line easier. Paying hundreds over MSRP for a third-party AIB card won’t matter to buyers later, but a well-kept FE card will always draw interest. I used to stick with EVGA out of brand loyalty, but since they’ve exited the GPU space, I’ve gone back to Nvidia’s own FE cards—and this one doesn’t disappoint.

5080 FE
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you can get one of these from BestBuy that is the way to go. This card is powerful enough to last the next 3-4 years. I do 4k OLED 240hz gaming and high-ultra and this thing handles everything flawlessly. Also the cooling system on this is so much moree quiet than my old 3080ti.

Absolute monster—needs a bigger appetite!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NVIDIA 5080 is basically the GPU equivalent of a bodybuilder who bench presses cars and sprints at the speed of light… but refuses to eat more than 16GB of RAM. Why? Who knows. Maybe it’s on a strict VRAM diet. Maybe it’s just modest. Either way, this thing demolishes games, crushes renders, and makes your PC look like it joined the Avengers. But yeah—16GB of VRAM in 2025? That’s like showing up to a buffet with a teaspoon. Still, for everything else it does, you’ll forgive it… until you boot up a 12K texture mod and hear your GPU whisper, “I wasn’t built for this.” Verdict: Absolute monster—just wish it had a bigger appetite. I really wanted the 5090 founders edition but could not get my hands on one.....

Fantastic GPU, A+++
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently picked up the NVIDIA RTX 5080 Founders Edition from Best Buy, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. The build quality is premium, the thermals are fantastic, and the card runs whisper-quiet even under heavy load. Performance is on another level—whether it’s gaming, video editing, or running advanced workloads, everything is buttery smooth with huge FPS gains compared to previous generations.

Groundbreaking
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite the separation in performance from the 5080 to the 5090, this was a worthwhile upgrade through and through, especially if you’re more than one generation behind. The 4080 comes close so maybe it’s not the best to jump from there but I had a Vega 56 OC which allowed me to game in 1080p with over 60 frames but now I can play on 4K with high to ultra settings in most games and get anywhere from 70 fps to 160 which perfectly matches my Samsung OLED TV with the 2.1 ports and 165 hz display. This card allows for the dream build to come true while at the same time avoiding breaking the bank with the 5090.

Worth every penny.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OH YES. I went from a 3060 TI to this beast. A world of difference. While the 3060 TI is not a bad card it stuggles to keep up with my 4k monitor. This on the other hand, doesn't even bat an eye. I can throw any game at it at ultra settings, render any of my 3D models, and run AI simulations without any problems. I'm so happy with my 5080. I will also say I wish more GPUs were like this, clean design with no RGB. Only drawback is I 3D printed a GPU stand so it doesn't sag.

Expensive but very well made card
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was tempted to leave 4 stars since the price is a bit high for an upper mid-range GPU but considering that it's no change over the 4080 MSRP, this card offers significantly (though not monumentally) better performance and good power savings. Running this in an older NZXT case with relatively poor airflow, I rarely see GPU temp much above 50 during gaming, and the card undervolts deeply without any loss of stability, though I'm sure mileage will vary depending on which card one ends up with. Still, it has been a great upgrade over the 2080TI that I had before. The Founders Edition card is also very sturdy and well constructed. Can't imagine buying an AIB card when the first party one is already this good.

First ever founders
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this card. Coming from a 3080 this a huge boost in 1440p. Temps are excellent 20 degrees cooler than the 3080 and performance is way higher. Don’t really need to use DLSS avg of 145 fps in 1440p is plenty for me but im sure it will come in handy if i choose to go to 4k. Definitely recommend at base cost don’t buy from scalpers.
