Good card, absolutely worth it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this gpu, very good purchase. The look is outstanding. The performance is very good for my architectural drafting workflow and also for gaming. The card runs very quiet I can't hear it at all. I love the look of the card. It looks better in person. This is a good buy!

Big upgrade from the 30 series
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the FE version of this card due to the 2 slot design not covering up my expansion slots. From my previous 3080 card I have seen considerable improvement in performance and it runs far quieter. Runs all the latest games without any sign of struggle, and uses as little as half the power running older games.

GeForce RTX 5080
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this proudct, I had no issues with it at all and it performed perfectly up to its capabilities. I just upgraded to a newer one s I had no need for this, it ran all my games outstandingly well at 4k quality with no setbacks in any ways.

Insane GPU that handles anything
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For $1000 at MSRP, it is very easy to recommend this GPU. Runs everything I throw at it at high settings 3440x1440. I'd say this is the definitive card for that ultrawide resolution. If you're having doubts for that resolution, just go for it. Everything plays great on it.

Bigger and better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NVIDIA RTX 5080 would be a game-changer, offering a massive jump in power for gamers and creators. It would deliver incredible graphics, super-fast performance even at 4K, and make games look stunningly realistic with advanced features like ray tracing. This card would be the top choice for anyone who wants the very best performance from their PC.

coming from an rtx 4080 super
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.stock performance of the 5080 is only about 10-15% better when compared to the 4080 super. however, where the 5080, or at least my specific unit, suprisingly shines is in its overclock/undervolt potential. with the use of msi afterburner, i was able to tweak the 5080 to perform about 15% better without much more wattage. i was never able to do this with my 4080 super. the overclock/undervolt brought my total 5080’s performance to be about 25-30% better than my 4080 super and essentially on-par with my friend’s 4090 while consuming 80-100 watts less. i initially decided to replace my 4080 super with the 5080 just because of the founders edition look and to try out multi-frame generation since i got the 5080 fe for msrp anyway but i ended up really enjoying the meaningful performance and efficiency gains. i’d recommend the 5080 if available at msrp.

Great card if you can afford it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Truly a beast, love having a powerhouse gpu to enable 4K gaming. DLSS has come a long way, allowing high fidelity even at performance or ultra performance settings. And frame gen might be a bit of a gimmick, but honestly I can crank it up to X3 or X4 in games like Cyberpunk and Borderlands 4 with minimal artifacting. Oh, and I got Borderlands 4 as a pack-in, which is pretty fun because I was thinking of picking it up anyway. Obviously the price is obnoxious, but if you can afford this, it's a great card and good value compared to the 4090 and 5090.

Can actually handle UE5
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arguably the 5070 TI is a better value currently but from benchmarks, the 5080 could push some games I play to 60 fps at 4k without DLSS while the 5070 was stuck mid 50s. After messing around I ended up using DLSS anyway so I can hit 100+ fps but I like that I can get 60 before using frame gen. Getting it MSRP through Best Buy was nice, did have the app never load when I tried purchasing it through my phone but the site worked instantly using a PC

Good GPU
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NVIDIA RTX 5080 Founders Edition is an absolute powerhouse. Blazing-fast performance, whisper-quiet cooling, and stunning ray tracing make it a top-tier choice for 4K and high-refresh gaming. The sleek design and solid build quality are the icing on the cake. Worth every penny!

Okay at MSRP
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got lucky and was able to order the RTX 5080 on the day of its release at MSRP. For that price, I think it's pretty good for me as I had had my eye on the RTX 4080 Super for awhile and never pulled the trigger. The design and build of the Founder's Edition card is great. It's great to see a 2-slot design where most of the other brands are pushing monstrosities that take 3 or even 4 slots. The card feels solid and well-constructed and that part at least makes it feel worthy of its price tag. The power connector is recessed in the card at an angle, which helps with narrower cases, though reaching and getting the connector securely in there is a little difficult. The performance isn't the most exciting, especially compared to the previous generation, but with a small and easily achievable overclock the gap does widen a bit. I can max out almost all but the most demanding path-tracing games at 4K using DLSS Quality and be well into the 100's in FPS, though I was disappointed to see I had to lower my settings in Indiana Jones, even at DLSS Performance, due to VRAM limitations. It's concerning to see games hitting that limit right at the beginning of this generation and I wish Nvidia had bumped the VRAM to 24GB instead. Overall I'm personally happy with the RTX 5080, though part of me wishes I had just upgraded a year earlier instead. I would not pay more than $1000 for any 5080 card - I think the value at that price is probably questionable for some anyway and more than that you're better off trying to find an MSRP (or close to MSRP) 5070 Ti for higher-end performance.

Great GPU, BUT...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a pretty fantastic GPU all things considered. It's perfect for 1440p gaming with plenty of power to spare to play any current game on my computer. I also really like how it can easily be undervolted while still having the same amount of performance at stock voltage. Really helps keeps things temps low. However, I can't in good conscious give this a 4 or 5-star because of how poorly NVIDIA handled things with the 50-series in general. 1. The small amount of GPUs in stock, which many scalpers and bots can easily take advantage of. So it's already extremely difficult to get a 50-series GPU properly, especially a Founders Edition model. 2. Still using the terrible 12VHPWR connector designs that still have problems right now. 3. The very high price for so little gen on gen improvements and gains. (The 5080 is barely any faster than a 4080/S outside of multi-frame generation). It also doesn't help that it's extremely difficult to get a 50-series GPU at MSRP price at this time. 4. Their latest driver updates (as of the time of this review being posted) have been very rough with issues and bugs that are affecting lots of users. 5. Quietly removing legacy 32-bit PhysX support without any backup (like a translation layer to use 64-bit). So some games, like Borderlands 2 or Mirror's Edge, don't run very well at all with PhysX 32-bit enabled. When a few of these issues have been addressed (like the drivers and 32-bit PhysX being properly worked with), I may bump it up to 4-stars. But for now, that's my rating for this GPU (and the RTX 50-series as a whole).

Massive upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Granted, I used previously a slightly different card (RTX A4000) which is about 4 years old, but the improvements on paper did not prepare me for the massive gains in games that the RTX 5080 offers (over a still fairly pricey RTX card). I am using a physical renderer (NextLimit Maxwell 5), which unfortunately ceased development before the Blackwell architecture was introduced. Hence, the render engine doesn't "recognize" the RTX 5080 despite being much more powerful than the older Ampere architecture. So the A4000 stayed for that application and as a dedicated PhysX processor. The RTX 5080 is a massive upgrade for me, which also meant a 850W ATX 3.1 power supply was needed as the RTX 5080 draws over twice the power, but also consolidates three (!) PCI-E power cables via included adapter, or--better yet--a power supply with an 6x12V (ATX3.1) plug and cable. The latter cleans the interior up significantly! For some applications the gain is mild, but for games it's significant. For instance, Doom - Dark Ages runs smoothly at 120 fps in maximum settings on a 4K monitor!!! A sight to be experienced. The included ARC Raiders wasn't easy to redeem. It turns out that for that process Firefox is not a supported browser and I had to set Edge as the default as the redemption process automatically launches the default browser with no option to use a different one instead. Well, a lot of effort for an online multiplayer game that's beautiful but I prefer story-driven single player games. Hence, it being included wasn't much of a draw for me. I am glad I waited for the price to come back to MSRP. (Sure, a discount would have been great, but that's an illusion for 2025.)

My uber driver told me, Invida makes great bitcoin
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So it’s a graphics and if you’re reading this you already know all the details and capabilities of this card. You may not be aware of how easy it is to install and how helpful BesrBuy is at taking care of that for you. Their total tech membership (sold separately) took care of the labor of installing it, updating drivers, making sure everything works as it should. You already know what the 5080 is capable of - it’s a bit expensive but if it’s something your passionate about, it’s 100% worth it.
