Good for watching movies and the fans on it look cool

It has been a very frustrating experience having this card. When it works, it is great. Certain games run really well and look beautiful with this card. However, newer games can be a complete nightmare. A ton of driver updates and hotfixes have been released and were still having crashes or black screen freezes with games like Black Wukong, Atomfall. Its also very frustrating to have to disable capabilities so you can get a semi stable experience (turn off DLSS or Ray tracing is the recommendation at times). It might be better to wait until the driver issues get resolved but if youre used to things working out of the box, you might want to hold off on this card.

Im content with what im getting out of my purchse, as im upgrading from a 30 series card.

Decent card if you're a few generations behind. Would recommend the 5090 over it if you can pull of the price tag.

If VRAM is a big concern you may be better off waiting for the 5080ti/super coming out, but otherwise the feature set is great.

Great card for the price, packs gaming was a bit different but overall still nice.

Doesnt have enough vram for some 4k games and especially doesnt for VR at decent resolutions

Good upgrade for whoever needs it. If its good for you, then buy it when it's available. Stop listening to influencers and form your own opinion.

Fast card. Good value if you're lucky enough to snag one at MSRP.

decent value card at msrp, if you are able to get your hands on one. could do with more vram tho

Despite all the hate about supply for these GPUs this thing is a tank.

Huge upgrade from my old 3080. Love the sleekness of the design.

I had to RMA this GPU within the first week of owning it as it was faulty. Nvidia took a month and a half to give me a new one with the whole return process and i had to reach out on multiple occasions for them to speed up the process and to respond to my case as it felt like i was kept in the dark. I had also asked a few questions in email multiple times that the customer support team couldnt andwer and still to this day i have no response. At the end of the day, nvidia sent me a new working GPU within 5 days of them receiving mine that was faulty. So turn around after they send you a label to ship out the GPU is quick but make sure to follow up every couple days as they dont care enough to give you an update. I would only recommend this if you have patience to wait for a new GPU or even take a gamble that you receive a working one. Also comparing this model to the 40 series, i would 100% just save my money and get one instead of paying scalper prices for a 50 series.

With all the other 5080 models being up to 50% more expensive, the founder’s edition is the only one worth buying.

Works well for my content creation workflow. The extra media decoders and codec support made this a very easy purchase for me.
