Love this thing and it looks soooo good!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NVIDIA RTX 5080 Founders Edition is hands down one of the most impressive GPUs I’ve ever owned - if you can get your hands on one. From gaming to content creation, this card exceeds expectations in every way. I upgraded from my previous-generation GPU, and the difference is like night and day. Performance & Gaming Experience This card crushes 4K gaming without breaking a sweat. I’ve tested it on some of the most demanding games, and the frame rates are unbelievably smooth, even with ultra settings and ray tracing maxed out. DLSS 3.5 takes performance to another level, making games not only look stunning but also run buttery smooth. Even in 8K gaming and VR applications, the 5080 handles everything like a champ. Cooling & Build Quality NVIDIA’s Founders Edition design is a masterpiece. The cooling system is incredibly efficient, keeping temperatures low even during marathon gaming sessions. I was worried about heat, but the dual-fan setup does an outstanding job, and the card runs much quieter than I expected. Plus, the minimalist, industrial design is absolutely gorgeous—it looks premium and blends perfectly into any high-end build. Content Creation & Productivity For those who use their GPUs beyond gaming, this card is a powerhouse for creative work. Whether it’s 3D rendering, video editing, or AI-based workflows, the RTX 5080 delivers blazing-fast performance. Rendering times are drastically reduced, and the CUDA cores plus Tensor cores provide a massive boost to professional applications like Blender, DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe software. Final Thoughts – Is It Worth It? If you’re looking for the ultimate GPU for gaming and creative work, the RTX 5080 Founders Edition is 100% worth it. The performance is next-level, the cooling is superb, and NVIDIA continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible with their cutting-edge technology. Whether you're a hardcore gamer, a streamer, or a content creator, this card is an absolute must-have. Highly recommended!

Nvidia 5080 WORTH IT for me!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was one of the lucky ones online to "Beat the Bots" on Roll Out day. With that said, on my first computer build of my life, I put a great deal of emphasis on all other components except my graphics card in 2022. I was able to get a Founders Edition 4070 from Best Buy for $500. So, I'm no expert, but for the novice, the 5080 has a considerable notice of quality and simple beauty for the games I play. After watching all the "PHD Master IT Technicians" bash the 50 series launch and disputing the numbers from the company. I noticed none of them answered the most important question that was never asked " How did the game look with your own eyes? Yes Data matters but I would rather my personal interaction judge before numbers influence my perception. Bottom line, be patient for Best Buy to keep making drops. It will happen. For this 59 year old Gamer, Work It. For the record, I play the following games: Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Assetto Corsa Evo, Le Mans Ultimate, and F1 24. All sim racing games with a complete Fanatec Setup.

Good upgrade compared to a few generations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im upgrading from a 2080s, this is a solid upgrade! I wouldnt recomend someone with a 4080 maybe a 3080 should skip this year. But anthing else if you can get it at msrp this thing has been great. Solid performance with good temps.

Incredible card despite low generational leap.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is incredible, but it's a shame we've gotten to the point where people feel lucky to even purchase a $1,000 graphics card. With OC, I was able to get within 11% of the 4090 FE performance, but for 37% less money and WAY less power draw. The OC potential on 5080's across the board is something to behold, we haven't had a card OC this well in awhile, granted it's not going to give you a 20% leap, near 13-14% is still splendid. People are mad that this 80 series card is the weakest that Nvidia ever released, but Nvidia is on a warpath for stock prices unfortunately, so setting aside the beyond underwhelming performance leap, this is still one of the best performance/dollar cost cards available. This card is a monster, it easily runs Marvel Rivals at 290 frames when no frame gen at 2k resolution and CS2 gets well over 550 fps in almost any circumstance. If you love playing competitive games and also want to dominate every single-player game you throw at it in 2k resolution, you will be very happy. Is the 4090 and 5090 still better? By far, that's no question, but think about how much power and money those both cost. If it's hard to buy a 5080, it's 10x more difficult to find an available 4090 or even 5090. If you can buy this card at MSRP, I think it's a solid buy. I upgraded from my RTX 3070 and couldn't be happier. I'll be sticking with this card for at least 5-6 years.

Excellent for SFF Builds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price this GPU can't be beat IMO. Yes it relies more on frame gen to get the higher fps, but I don't do competitive gaming so it's fine for me and keep temps manageable in a SFF. Previously had a 4090 and while the 5080 is technically a downgrade, as a casual gamer I rarely notice the difference.

Fantastic Card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have previously owned an AMD XFX RX7900XTX (Magnetic Air 24GB) as my main and both are great, but this card handles raytracing unlike any card I've owned. it's not only powerful and more efficient compared to my 7900 xtx but it also has a great design for swapping onto different cases. Options I have with card include the Low-Profile cases like the M2 Grater to its dimensions 2 slot width and the End screws to attach an anti-sag kit.

Good value upgrade if you're not coming from 4000s
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 delivers a significant performance boost over the RTX 3080, making it a worthwhile upgrade for those coming from any 3000-series or older GPUs. Compared to the RTX 3080, the 5080 offers approximately 60–70% better performance in 4K gaming and substantially higher ray tracing capabilities, making demanding titles much smoother. For those on a 4000-series card, the performance uplift is much smaller—around 15% over the RTX 4080—which is why many complaints stem from last-gen owners expecting more. However, the RTX 5080 retains the same $999 MSRP as the 4080, meaning it still provides the best value in the 80-series tier if purchased at retail price. Pairing it with a high-end CPU, such as the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, unlocks even better performance, ensuring top-tier rankings in benchmarks like 3DMark (98th percentile) and buttery smooth gameplay across all modern titles. If you're upgrading from a 3000-series or older, the RTX 5080 is a fantastic choice—just be sure to find it at MSRP for the best value.

I'm ready for BattleField 6!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from an RTX 3080 FE to an RTX 5080 FE for the upcoming Battlefield 6! I initially wanted a 90FE but they are very hard to acquire from BB or directly from NVidia so I settled for the 5080 FE, To my surprise - I averaged 250 FPS + with DLSS in 3440x1440p 100 hz monitor while participating the Battlefield 6 Beta! I had low expectations for the 5080FE because of the 16GB VRam = but during the BF6 beta - the game only used roughly 9-10 Gb! I can report that the 5080 FE pairs well with a Ryzen 7800X3D and should keep me satisfied till the 60series release.

Great card at MSRP
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent gpu, ok price given the state of gpu market. The 5080 is a great overclocker easily able to add +400 to the core clock and over +2000 to the memory clock. The performance is great, getting fairly close to the performance of last generations 4090 (-10 to -15% of the 4090 on average) While it’s unusual for Nvidia to release a card that is less performant than last gen’s best, it’s just where we’re at in the current gpu space. If you can get the card for MSRP I do recommend the 5080 anything more and I’d say hold out if you can or look towards the AMD 9070XT.

Absolute juicer gpu
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gets a lot of hate but at msrp it is an amazing card. I don’t see how a cheaper 80 series card than last gen with better technology can get so much hate. Quite efficient and an absolute monster. 3rd best gpu out there. And with frame gen it’s honestly better than the 4090.

A beauty.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldnt decide between keeping a 4080 super or this 5080. Went for the 5080 and its excedeed my expectation so far. 240-280 fps in CoD. Can run any game in overkill/ultra graphics.

Great Card – Clean Design & Solid Performan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the ASUS TUF 5080 but swapped it for the Founders Edition while still in the return window as shown in the photos — no regrets. The FE runs about 5°C hotter, but it’s worth it at MSRP. It looks clean, overclocks well (+375 core / +500 memory), and gave me around a 10–15% performance boost in games. Iconic design, great build, and solid all-around.

Good, not big enough jump from 5070 ti tho.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works perfectly. May sell it for a super down the line but no errors so far. Good card, wouldnt refommend if you dont have a high refresh rate 1440p monitor or 4k, go with 5070 ti instead.

Great upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is an improvement to my 4070S I had before. Not just the small hardware upgrade, but the extra VRAM help me push solid FPS numbers. I mostly play racing sims and on max settings I'm now in the solid 160+ FPS. The new Doom game is playing at over 200 FPS on ultra nightmare settings. I'm really enjoying it and especially that it was at msrp at Bestbuy.
