Great but coil whine under heavy load
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Founders Edition has a sleek and premium design. There is some coil whine and the fan noise becomes noticeable under heavy load, but aside from that, it’s an excellent graphics card with a solid design.

5090 FE
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this at MSRP, and is great. Runs on the higher end of temps but at under 3 slots you're going to sacrifice cooling.

Bought one, had a second in my cart
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from an ASUS ROG STRIX 4090 OC I got a 48% increase in score on Steel Nomad. Paired with a 9800X3D and Alienware - AW3225QF there is nothing that can touch the FPS I'm getting now. It's so tiny.

Price to performance not quite there
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the riding cost of all goods including GPUs, the price to performance isn't quite there if you already own a 40-series card. Add the potential fire risk due to the 12vhpwr connector and it really doesn't make sense. Skip this gen

Strongest consumer grade gpu circa 2025 for msrp
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The title is enough to know what youre getting. It is at the time of writing the strongest consumer grade gpu around and this is the only reliable model that sells at the listed msrp. the build quality is phenomenal, the card runs cool enough, and it is still quiet so long as your case isnt choking it of airflow.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — The Founders Edition 5090 Is A+++
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Founders Edition 5090 is hands-down the most impressive graphics card I’ve ever used. NVIDIA absolutely knocked it out of the park with this generation. From the moment I installed it, the performance jump was unbelievable — not just a small step up, but a massive leap over previous cards. Games that used to push my system are now running at ultra settings with buttery-smooth frame rates, even at 4K and higher. Ray tracing, DLSS, AI-powered features — everything feels faster, cleaner, and more responsive. It’s like the card doesn’t even break a sweat. Thermals and noise levels are also shockingly good for a GPU with this much power. The Founders Edition cooler does an incredible job; it stays cool under heavy load and is noticeably quieter than I expected. Build quality is premium, sleek, and solid — exactly what you’d want from a flagship FE card. Whether you're gaming, streaming, doing AI-assisted work, or pushing your PC with creative workloads, the 5090 FE is a beast that handles it all effortlessly. Yes, it’s a high-end investment — but the performance you get makes it worth every dollar. If you’re looking for the best of the best, the 5090 Founders Edition is truly unmatched. Highly recommended.

overkill for most people
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally pulled the trigger on the RTX 5090, and after a week of gaming, testing, and tinkering, here’s my honest take. First off—the card is small. The power draw is no joke either—my PSU was already beefy, but under load you can hear the fans ramp and feel the heat pouring out. It’s definitely not for a small build or a modest setup. That said, once I fired it up… wow. Games that were pushing my old 4090 to its limits now feel effortless. In 4K ultra, titles like Cyberpunk 2077 with full ray tracing and path tracing run smoother than I ever thought possible. The new DLSS 4 frame generation is kind of mind-blowing too—FPS basically doubles in supported games, and the AI interpolation is way cleaner than I expected. Outside of gaming, I tested some rendering and AI workloads, and the 32 GB of VRAM really shines. Big Blender scenes and AI models that used to chug now just eat up the memory and power through. For content creators or anyone dabbling in AI projects, that extra headroom is a game changer. But here’s the catch—it’s overkill for most people. It cost me around two grand, and unless you’re gaming in 4K+ or doing serious creative/AI work, you’ll never push this card anywhere near its limits. It’s also hot and power-hungry, so be ready with strong cooling and a beefy PSU. Would I recommend it? If you want the absolute best and don’t mind paying for it, yes—this thing is a monster. But if you’re just gaming at 1440p or even 4K without caring about max FPS, a 4080 or even 4070 Ti will save you a lot of money while still giving a fantastic experience. For me though, I love having the headroom. It feels like I future-proofed my rig for years, and right now, nothing else even comes close.

Absolute Beast of a GPU – DREAM INTO REALITY!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition is an absolute powerhouse, and Best Buy made it possible for me to finally own one! As a Total Tech Member, I had priority access and alerts that gave me the edge in securing this hard-to-find card. Performance is unmatched, pushing 4K max settings with ease, ray tracing that feels lifelike, and DLSS 4 that’s pure magic. Awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome packaging, aesthetics, and performance. Impressively compact package considering the power. Fan noise is well tuned audibly and not nearly as annoying as other air-cooled cards I’ve owned. My first FE card and I now see why they are so coveted. I see others here comment on “value” which seems pretty silly to me. This is a luxury product. If you want the best, the 5090 is it. If you want value look down the product line. Highly recommended.

Gaming beast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be honest, trying to actually buy one took forever, but it's a top tier card. Full pass through design on the fans and the liquid metal on the gpu die means it runs cool at stock settings under full load in 4k. For the price vs other 5090 models, this is the one to get. Compared to my older 3090 it's over double the performance and runs quieter. I'm using an old psu and running the included adapter and it's been fantastic, though a bit cluttered. I'd reccomend getting a psu with a dedicated 12v 2x6 power connector. Overall, if you want "the" high end card and don't want to pay the Asus or Msi markup, do your best to snag one of these.

A worthy upgrade*... at MSRP
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card gives me phenomenal performance in live-rendering my larger animation projects, as well as high end gaming. I'm jumping up a couple generations, so of course those going from a 4090 to this won't see much of a difference, and other than VRAM, they probably won't. Given the current market, it is also hard to recommend any card in this tier to anyone at the insanely inflated prices. This is a very worthy upgrade if you are actually upgrading, or need the VRAM, but don't overspend.

Blazing Fast and Future-Proof!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to the RTX 5090 and it’s been a game-changer. Every game I throw at it runs flawlessly at 4K ultra settings with crazy high frame rates. Temps stay cool thanks to the improved cooling design, and it's surprisingly quiet under load. Perfect for both gaming and creative work like 3D rendering and video editing. Pricey, but you’re paying for top-tier performance that’ll stay relevant for years. If you want the best of the best, this is it.
