I have the Shield TV Pro as well and both of these are awesome. So much customization available. As with most Android boxes, apps are abundant. The design is perfect treating this as a portable unit. It will be the go to when travelling for an extended time. The only drawback is lower storage than the pro but it is easily remedied by adding a SD Card. Great devices.

This has been an excellent streamer paired with my LG G1. It has some bugginess I have found with the HBO Max app, but it is something I can live with. I have found out if you uninstall,and install the app again it helps with bugginess. The upscaling just make my G1 that much better, and will help with other T.V.s

I've owned every streaming device made along with every gaming console and a very costly HTPC, all in the pursuit to find the perfect PLEX media player.... This it. It destroys all others for the simple fact it supports ATMOS.. I can now declutter my media room unlike any other time in the past.

Much faster than other streaming/casting devices i had before. Still works well but after a while i started to wish i bought the Pro version so if you're on the fence don't make my mistake.

We love how easy and portable this item is! We're able to stream straight from our laptop, stream on any of the apps and I love that we are also able to cast our phone to it. We purchased it to connect to our projector and now we don't need a tv in our living room. Such a great product!!

Bought for the best 4K streaming/upscale experience, and it has lived up to the bill. Pricey? Yes, but a very nice quality remote, responsive interface, and enough processing and storage space to keep the Android TV experience working fast and efficient for years. I had issue with the built-in Android TV experience in my Sony X800D lag as the lack of processing power and storage showed its ago after about two years, so this device's specs make me feel confident it will be my go-to device long after I upgrade my current 4K TV. Dolby Vision was a must for my current TV, and the SHIELD doesn't disappoint.

Its super easy to use and runs super fast. I fully recommend it.

Great media player. Mainly bought it for it's industry leading AI upscaling for <4k content which is magical for 1080p content on a 4k screen. Secondly, best device i've used for Nvidia gamestream - 4k HDR 60fps game streaming from my PC with minimal input latency.

Did some research prior to purchase and have no regrets. Device has alot of built in features which you’d need to download on other devices. Works very fast and navigation is a breeze. Have recomended this to many.

This device is awesome! The AI upscale feature really does improve the picture of less quality shows or movies. The only downside for me is that it doesn't have a USB port and only and micro SD slot that you can't access with a standard HDMI cable plugged in. For $150 there is plenty of space on the device to add one or eliminate the micro SD card slot.

By far the best streaming box out there. I had been used FireTV devices for a while for various streaming services but mostly using Kodi for TV and local media. This runs Kodi far better than the Fire TV and still have access to the other streaming apps. Handles any file format I’ve been able to throw at it and it very fast.

I own this one and a Pro version. I don't do much hard gaming at all on the Pro, so for the 2nd TV, I got this version. It has suited all my watching needs perfectly and does great with emulation. I really don't notice any difference in performance between this and the Pro. Nvidia is also great for updates, so can't go wrong.

The Shield was recommended to us by a son-in-law who is tech savvy (We Aren't}. We plugged the unit in and simply followed the limited directions and it installed correctly. Once in use we made a few changes to default settings to better fit the way we use it. Since then it has performed flawlessly and we are very satisfied with the purchase.
