My wife was isolated with Covid and we needed something familiar for her to use with the upstairs TV. THis is a smaller version of the bigger Shield we use downstairs so fit the bill really well. Her only complaint was no Home button and buttons we not consistent in how they reacted. Sometimes just picking up the remote would trigger an action, and other times it required multiple button presses to get it to do what you wanted.

I have to say I love this unit, but I think Im going to replace it with the Pro version. Nvidia says you can play free games with it, and thats true. The catch is you have to wait in a queue through GE Force Now before you can play. You can pay $25 for six months of preferred membership and this I read gets you instant access. As far as its use as a streaming device, fast fast fast. I have a 2017 firestick and I tossed it in the trash after using this. Its like going from driving a ‘78 Pinto to a Lamborghini. Plus you can load apps that you have to jump through hoops with using other devices.

This is by far the best streaming device on the market! Fast, responsive and very high quality. Better than the Roku or Amazon Fire stick I have. I highly recommend it!

You can't go wrong with an nvidia anything ..the best for gaming and for the streaming ...and you can't complain about the price for what it can do.

The NVIDIA - SHIELD Android TV - 8GB - 4K HDR Streaming Media Player with Google Assistant is something everyone should have. Great for Movie lovers!

Seriously, if you have a basic 4k TV made a 2 years ago, this is a total game changer. It made my 2018 LG 4k TV look absolutely stunning when streaming content that wasn't already 4k. However, if you have a 2021 4k TV with aggressive sharpening filters that are hard to turn off, this might not be the right solution. But for slightly older TV's, this will make you feel like you own a $1k + Sony TV. Probably the best tech investment I've made for my humble home theater.

This is a great item. I should have ordered more of them. Now that I see how great it is for movie watching I’ll get two more for the other rooms as well

Got this to replace a fire stick 4K. The fire stick was working for almost everything until I cut the cable 100%. I use a HDHomeRun 4K & Servia DVR that feeds into Plex for local Chanel’s. The fire stick did not have enough power to process this setup. The Shield delivers with no issues, loads Chanel thumbnails with no problems and has no video freezing issues at all. I have a Shield Pro on a media room large screen so I knew this would be a nice addition for a smaller screen. Very pleased with the Shield family of products!

I just bought a new 75” qled and my streaming wasn’t up to par with I expected. The AI enhanced feature is worth it in itself even netflix is crystal clear

Better than firestick best streaming device on the market. Fast and solid for the price. Only downfall is google store has less apps.

I have always been a fan of the shield, when the new one came out it was a no brainier for me. I am looking I getting one for each room that has a tv.

Got this to replace my amazon fire tv box and its much faster and reliable. You can do so much more with this such as gaming and etc. Worth the price
