I had the 1st gen model for years. This one blew it out of the water love it. Ps you will never lose the remote!

Small and powerful but a little awkward with cables coming out of both ends. Power from one end and HDMI from the other end.

I love this device its just as good as the Nvidia Shield but with less memory.

So I got this as a "spurge of the moment buy". Then I set it up, wondering what use I'll have for it as I have a Smart TV, and was WOWed. The response of apps and connection to my WiFi are way better than the Smart TV apps. The fact that I can connect Blu Tooth Controllers, Keyboard, and Mouse for playing Nvidia Now games made me decide this stays connected to my TV.

Handles 4k HDR content with no issues. If you use Plex, this is better than a media PC client and costs less.

I've owned all Roku and Amazon devices this by far is superior. The AI upscaling is also a very nice feature

Having given up Cable TV over 11 years we have used various devices to watch online streaming services. Over the years we have kept looking for better streams and better devices to play them on. I believe we have found Ultimately the very best device for streaming to date. The NVIDIA Shield is without a doubt the top of the category for streamers. I am not a gamer so I can't speak about that aspect? But we are very happy with this purchase.

This is the best 4K stream box out now. It has 4K, hdr, Dolby vision and Dolby Atmos. Highly recommend!

I originally got this to use Nvidia Game Stream, but they announced that they will be discontinuing that feature so there's no point in owning this device if you already have a smart TV. The Device was very buggy as well. I found myself having to manually restart it about once every week or 2. One very annoying "feature" is the Netflix button. I can not tell you how many times that button has been pushed by accident, but I can definetly tell you it's literally never been pushed intentionally... I wish the button didn't exist or was at least some sort of "favorites" button to access your favorite app. All-in-all, the device is just a glorified Roku. The only feature that set it apart from other similar devices was GameStream and that'll be gone soon. Save yourself the headache of this device failing on you and opening Netflix at the worst possible times and just dont buy it.

almost 2 months with the shield tv - works pretty good. I've had issues where it is totally unresponsive and I usually just turn it off and turn it back on and it works again. Yes, its one of the more expensive streaming devices but it has its perks. I don't use it for gaming due to bad input lag on a LAN connection of 100mbps, specifically with Steam.

Stop buying the cheap stuff this is all you need for excellent streaming and surfing the web
