Better than a fire stick. Many more options and apps. Faster and a more powerful unit.

Love this and looking to upgrade to the other model. Setup is super easy and the upscaling really works.

Works just as fast as the $200 one. For what I need it for to stream iptv and movies it fast and reliable.

I ended up returning it. Continued to have ai enhancement issues after multiple resets that would only get fixed temporarily by restarting the device (after getting help from Nvidia support). I got the shield tv because I was tired of the Amazon fire stick needing to get restarted so much and this shield tv was way worse. It's a cool idea for a streaming device that still feels like a beta years after release. I would like to thank Nvidia for turning me back onto physical media. Finally I can watch my tv shows and movies without any streaming quality issues and the upscaling applies to everything instead of just some stuff. And the best part is, a company I pay monthly won't take away the things I enjoy watching. I never thought I was that particular about streaming quality, but I suppose I've become more analytical with age. Even if you love streaming, this device isn't that much better than a 50$ streaming device. It's pretty much a Chromecast ultra with a menu and controller. And you can play some of the games you already own through it. But it's capped quality.

This was my second choice what I really wanted was the pro version but it was out of stock good second choice though.

almost 2 months with the shield tv - works pretty good. I've had issues where it is totally unresponsive and I usually just turn it off and turn it back on and it works again. Yes, its one of the more expensive streaming devices but it has its perks. I don't use it for gaming due to bad input lag on a LAN connection of 100mbps, specifically with Steam.

It's great. The only downside for me, there is no away of the device to turn off completely after going to sleep. So the device goes to sleep mode only, for this reason I gave it four stars otherwise I would gave it 5 stars. There then that the device has been fast responsive. It's great having to connect it straight to a projector. By the way I mostly use the device for streaming.

This works just as good as the 2017 version. I was skeptical about buying it, but I'm glad that I did.

I originally got this to use Nvidia Game Stream, but they announced that they will be discontinuing that feature so there's no point in owning this device if you already have a smart TV. The Device was very buggy as well. I found myself having to manually restart it about once every week or 2. One very annoying "feature" is the Netflix button. I can not tell you how many times that button has been pushed by accident, but I can definetly tell you it's literally never been pushed intentionally... I wish the button didn't exist or was at least some sort of "favorites" button to access your favorite app. All-in-all, the device is just a glorified Roku. The only feature that set it apart from other similar devices was GameStream and that'll be gone soon. Save yourself the headache of this device failing on you and opening Netflix at the worst possible times and just dont buy it.

Dump the Amazon Fire stick and get this. More use and not loaded with Amazon crap that takes up half your space.

I have come to really like Android tv but the Shield is not as trouble free as I expected but better than the Tivo Stream 4k. CEC settings either aren't as intuitive as it should be or there's some kind of order of operations that I'm missing to get it to work trouble free with my Denon. Too expensive to be going through these headaches, and I'm not alone in this either.

Better than the previous model..plays flowless...if they could ommit the Netflix button on the remote

As expected, works great and is quick as can be compared to any other stream device out there.

The best media streamer. Very fast OS, easy to use and understand. Highly recommend.
