While I love the Shield compared to using my Samsung HDTV Apps, there are some bugs. Occasionally, I'll switch to the Shield input and the display will be all scrambled. I can barely see, but I can typically fix this by (almost blindly) navigating to "reset" in the menu. Not the end of the world, but a pain.

My only complaint is the tube design.It is very dumb, makes it hard to cable manage and looks ugly with cables coming out both ends. Other than that it is very good at what its supposed to do. This device direct plays almost all Video and Audio from my Plex server. The only time I have noticed it doesn't is videos with "SubStation Alpha" subtitles.

Great product when it works. Apparently theres an issue with some LG tvs not knowing the resolution its sending...(EDID communication issues) that has caused me to have to return it. It was a great product, but after 5 plus hours diagnosing and trying to fix it i have to return it. I may try it again in a few months after LG and Nvidia sort this one out.

Overall, a very nice Android TV device with great streaming options and 4k upscaling on most apps. Note, if you have a newer TV, be sure to reset your display settings to factory default and to turn off any color enhancement or other "premium" display features as these will lead to jittering and stuttering on playback, especially with Netflix. Took me ages to figure this out.

So, the good: a big improvement over any Roku box, Dolby Vision is veeerrrry nice, Android interface is easy to get used to. The meh: this could be for about Hulu or other services l, but several times apps freeze, reload, and audio plays with no video. I have to restart Shield to get my content to play. Happens with Hulu and Vudu. First world problems I guess, right?
