I have the original Nvidia Shield. It was phenomenal. My only issue with that one was everyone’s issue, is with the proprietary plug that fails. That was my only issue. If I could get a new replacement I would still be using that one. So I figured I would try this one. It works well. A lot of the same features as the old one. Runs very warm. Felt I had to turn it off often, even though it has a sleep feature. When it woke up from sleep, a number of times it would be stuck, on a black screen. Had to unplug it from power and plug it back it. I put it on one of my Alexa outlets to just power it off fully. Definitely not like the old one. Disappointing. Using my Apple TV now, but really wish I could get a power adapter for my old Nvidia Shield.

Got it in one day. The Shield is the bomb and so is Best Buy!

I love this item, its slim, slick and when u touch it the buttons light up. That is a great plus because if you are holding it at night and want to use the buttons are easy to see. You do need batteries to operate which I'm not a happy, but overall it's a great product.

Nice i love shield but should have more storage than 8 g

No other streaming device is beating the shield tv or pro.

This thing is a powerhouse! Apps run smoothly and start up so much faster than the Firestick. Can install and run all google apps- no need for side loading. If you are using a firestick please consider checking this out. You can do everything and so much more than the stick. It is well worth the extra money- you wont be disappointed.

The best Android TV box ever........................

I purchased a new sound bar and wanted to use the Dolby Atmos feature on it. Unfortunately my TV was a 2017 model and it does not natively support Dolby Atmos. So I ended up getting the Shield TV. Once I hooked this up to my TV and sound bar I can now enjoy movies the way they were meant to be with full Dolby Atmos.

I give this one a four star. Why? Because sometimes it does crash or freezes up. I will buy it again though if I had to. I like it more than a FireTV. I own a couple of Rokus and this one. I do expect devices like this to crash sometimes anyway so no biggy. If you really want one just go for it. It's really worth it.
