Amazing Product! Reliable! Definitely Recommemded!

I would recommend to anyone looking for a streaming device.

Batteries were dead from purchase. Replaced batteries and they lasted two weeks and went dead again. Unit works great but remote is unacceptable. You won't replace just the remote. After programming unit with a friend, I don't want to start over just for a remote.

It's a good streamer but it needs more internal storage. You can add a micro SD card for additional storage but then you can't use the card for media like your own movie downloads.

I bought this Google TV from NVIDIA thinking it was going to be better then Apple TV device but I quickly found out that after a few days of use it started to be laggy. So I had return it and reinstalled my Apple TV back. I really wanted to use the Google TV since I'm an Android user but I have yet to find any good devices that are good

Replaced quickly with the shield pro because the tube seems to have trouble with 4k streaming. This works fantastically for non 4k stuff, though, but it's expensive for that

The Shield TV was amazing while it worked. super fast, easy to use, great user interface, but it died after only 4 months. This is my only source to receive live TV as there is no cable provider or over the air broadcasts where I live. After spending 2 days trying to reach a customer care specialist in India via "Chat" as NVIDIA shut down their call-in support. I am now told it will be another 2+ weeks before I receive a replacement under warranty. This will probably be my last NVIDIA purchase due to 2 days to reach customer support, slow warranty follow up and the fact that it only lasted 4 months. Also a quick search on the web shows that the Shield TV does have longevity issues.

Nvidia shield TV is really good and the video it sends out to the TV is great. The problem is it's missing a couple of apps I need. Doesn't have Apple TV, at&t TV now and I don't believe the videos on YouTube are in HDR.

Nvidia has been surpassed by the new Fire Cube. So much easier to setup and quality is better signal wise with the Cube. Also available at Best Buy for less money than the Nvidia, and usually on sale for $20 off.

I bought this specifically for the AI upscaling. The AI upscaling is supposed to be legendary. I planned to watch upscaled 720p 60 fps sports. This device is advertised as having AI upscaling which will make just about anything 4k and looking great. The issue with this non Pro version is that it has to be 30 fps or lower in order for upscaling to work! I had no reason to believe the upscaling capabilities were different. You have to go up to the Pro model to get 60 fps content upscaling to 4k. I watched many youtubers review this device and nobody said this. Big disappointment.

I ended up returning this for the Shield Pro. I don't like that there's no status light telling if you if the unit is on/off/awake/asleep. Also, this model doesn't allow you to run a plex server via USB.

Purchase this item with the intent to side load a app, nope this thing gave me a hard time :( the operating system is awful. Not a fun experience. I did like gaming part of the device

Solid device. Runs well with no issues. Much better than the firestick

The device is nice but the design is horrible. The round shape of it makes it a pain to place, While a lot of people use it for gaming if you are not then look to Roku.

Absolute trash. Buggy and crashes often. 32-bit kernel makes this overpriced junk inefficient and crippled to play large files properly. Netflix content is laggy and juddery due to framerate mismatch between the content and the TV which this device is incapable of matching. Nvidia/Google/Netflix cannot and will not agree on a solution to this. AVOID YOUR MONEY AT ALL COSTS.

Works great for most stuff but I'd recommend the Pro shield for intense 4K media and gaming due to ram and 64 bit OS

Wasn't entirely thrilled with this device. I tried to give it a chance and hope that I would just get used to it and just appreciate having it in general.

i returned this since you are limited to either 1080p or 4k..nothing in between...i have a samsung cr9 49" 5k monitor...APP SELECTION BETTER ON ROKU

It works great when it stays connected. I have fiber into my house, a gigabit router and AC 1750 wifi extender. The Shield TV unit is about 10 feet from the extender and the extender is 75 feet from the router. I also have another brand streaming box in the same room as the Nvidia Shield TV unit. I power the unit on and watch a video or play a game. Initially everything works great. Once I switch to anything different, the unit loses connection to wifi. If I look at the settings menu it will show "obtaining IP address" and then time out with a failure. I have to either reboot the unit or switch to the 2.5 band to continue using the unit on wifi. Meanwhile the other brand streaming box, utilizing the same hardware, never has these issues. An average evening will include 4-6 reboots to keep it connected.
