can't even turn it on from the remote or controller.

32bit OS is a dealbreaker. This is 2020. Better to by the pro version.

Hard too open too replace the battery. I don't like the program.

Worked okay but started freezing and just acting weird a couple days after I bought it. Plus theres some apps like TLC go that arent available on this particular one.

All the "AI upscaling" and "lossless audio" in the world cant save a slow interface and juddery mess. Nvidia made such a fascinating and powerful product that is hampered by the problems i listed. At that price point no auto refresh rate matching is a big no,no.

Not a fan and need to return. Took the time to set everything up and it worked well. Next day, wouldn't turn on so had to unplug and replug then it worked. However, wouldn't connect via ethernet. I know my ethernet was working, changed cord 2x, still nothing. Frustrating too, in order to unplug the ethernet cord had to unplug the unit too. For the cost of this, not worth the aggravation. Back it goes.

The device constantly freezes up. Slow to respond. The abbreviated (Google Play Store) is a joke! Way too restrictive . Doesn't hold a candle to the FireStick at three times the price!

I said lots of good info because we were lied too, that led us to buying a bunch of stuff we didnt want...and if you dont check it within 14 days...your screwed. The device is amazing, just not the one we got from best buy...we know this because everything...every single thing we have purchased through best buy, seems to break when the insurance is up. Another thing is that the people working there..know absolutely nothing about electronics..bought all the wrong stuff many times...we have learned over the years that best buy...is the single worst electronics store there is. They dont care if you got what you need, the guy cared about whatever was on his phone, and just that i thought he was right...accually being right..didnt matter a bit. We have not only had enough with best buy, we are looking into sueing them to atleast get back some stuff back that we lost.

Believe it or not, Android in any platform is always buggy and very very slow. No surprise here as my experience is very mixed with slowness,freezing and rebooting automatically etc.,

I've been through three of these things now. First one wouldn't even power on. Second one had color space issues. Third one worked for a while but get random color space issues over saturating the image making everything red. Very poor quality for how expensive it is. And nvidia support are a bunch of monkeys so don't even bother there. Just get a roku or firestick. Or chromecast or basically anything but this overpriced junk

The remote exploded in my hand a week after buying. Would recommend a different remote to control the shield. I would also recommend that tou go ahead and spend the money for the other shield. It has more input functions then this shield.

Terrible freezes when switching apps and lags constantly. Attempted to contact customer service with no positive outcome! Waste of money.

Great and all but it literally died and its only been 5 months of regular use. Bs for something this expensive just to stream stuff

I have removed Shield TV from my media center. Even after Nvidia replaced my original with a refurbished unit. When they were set to Dolby Vision. The unit would flicker to black. I purchased a Amazon Fire TV cube 2nd generation and this unit has no problem whatsoever with Dolby Vision. I wasted my money on Shield TV.

perfect to set up home movie streaming throughout the house

Picture was great when it worked. Most of the time this thing would not properly load apps and apps were always jittery.

Set up was easy and fast. Cylindrical shape is kind of weird.

Worked better than other stressing devices but went dead after 2 years

Bought this sheild however I hardly use, never really worked so great

Compared to the 2017 model, this thing is crap. It won't play 4K content any higher than 20 mbps. Don't buy it. I waited too long to return it and now I'm stuck with it. Pay the extra $50 for the pro version or keep your 2017 or older model.
