    I’ve had a Roku, Chromcast, and Amazon fire stick. This is by far the best streaming device.

    I was using a firesick and had constant buffering issues. Not with the shield! It is superfast!!!

    The quality was pretty good. And you can upscale you 4K. But it’s big, expensive, and I didn’t like the layout of the home screen

    Got this to use as a plex server and player. So far the unit has crashed several times because 16gb is not big enough for a plex server. Once I added an external drive, I had issues trying to move the plex data to the new drive. Seems to be working now but I have not stress tested since. The plex client in my opinion is better than on the firestick and doesn’t crash unless I’m trying to view a bad source video. Eventually I may play some games on it but other streaming apps also work well. I have no tested this with my 4K or Atmos but I heard good things about it.
