HDCP hiccup

I had to knock off points for the HDCP errors. Having to install a splitter to finally get past them is annoying. I’ve had no other hdcp errors with any other devices. I’ve swapped HDMI cables around, updated and reset the system to no avail. Touted as the best Google TV device but needs a way to bypass HDCP. Swapping in AT&T’s Google TV box doesn’t yield the same errors so I place blame on NVIDIA.

Great for movie streaming

I had trouble getting the proper sound from Plex using the builtin apps on my TV and ARC to my receiver. Pled needed to transcode them to formats supported by the TV app. The Shield is able to pass through all the sound formats I wanted when connected directly to the receiver producing better fidelity and lower computing requirements on the plex server.
