All in all it's a great product. Only issue with it is the remote. The netflix button needs to go. If you have large hands every time you pick the remote up,You hit netflix. Don't need it that available. Can just be a horn button elsewhere in the remote

the nvidia shield is the smartest entertainment upgrade available for television. With or without a smart TV this little box gets you access to everything From all the latest computer title games to any app out there for tv. And its small and stylish. I cut the cord and havent looked back. This is the last one and I have had my 1st one for 5 years.. still going strong. Whole house is now hooked up with nvidia.

The new shield Is out of this world.No need to pay extra for Netflix 4k subscription AS this device does IT for you.It upscales all my content to 4k resolution.You will not be disappointed as the guts to this system will be good for years to come.Toy can go the cheap route and buy $50-$60 firesticks or rokus every year or 2 or just buy this and be satisfied for 5 years at least.The hardware alone is worth the purchase.

I have Chromecast 4K's & Apple TV 4K's. Maybe not as flashy a GUI, For the diehard cinephile, the incredible breadth of functionality (it pretty much plays every file type) eclipses even the combined power of the Chromecast and Apple TV. A must have for the discerning curators of media libraries everywhere.

I like everything about this, but interface was little complicated and confusing if I compare with apple tv. I returned my unit and got Apple Tv 4K.

I have heard about the Nvidia Shield for a while. It is the best streaming device manager for all your apps. Now i see why it cost more. It is worth the investment, it replaced two devices connected to tv. (Roku & TV Top Box) It also have extended usb storage, Mouse capatibility, WI-Fi, Bluetooth *& Voice control, TV control. All-in one streaming device!
