top of the line streamer. if you are cutting the cord you can't go wrong with this box.

The streaming quality is great, lots of apps. A bit pricey that's why the 4 stars, it has more features than I take advantage of but it's a great device.

This thing is dope, the interface is fast and responsive and the 4k upscaling is fantastic.

My wife and I travel for work, and we have notice that the Shield does not like poor internet quality. Even with 3-5Mbps it will constantly buff every couple of seconds. We have found that just a simple Roku will better on bad quality internet. The Roku we have been able to use with no buffing in as slow as 1Mbps.

You can't go wrong with an Nvidia Shield for streaming. This makes my 3rd one for my 3rd tv.

I bought this product for one reason, which is the Game stream functionality which I never actually got to work. We weren't off to a good start with unboxing the Shield itself. No HDMI cable included - not really a problem, but this wasn't mentioned on the box so I had to go digging for one to start setting this up. I could see this being a pain if you don't have a spare off hand however. There really weren't any instructions included within the package other than to plug the device in - so not really helpful at all. Once things were powered on and setup with Google, I had to restart the device at least 3 or 4 times to get it to connect properly to my PC. There were some initial updates it ran through, but it wasn't until restarting again, and again, that it downloaded some other prerequisite update for Nvidia games and eventually connected to my PC. Keep in mind that I was never prompted to update - it just threw error codes. Also not helpful. Once connected to my PC, there were numerous games (Hades, Doom Eternal, to name a couple) that were mysteriously absent from my Game stream library even though they show up in my GeForce Experience program on my PC. After pairing my PS4 controller via Bluetooth, I launched Bioshock Infinite, got to the title screen, and the Game stream wouldn't accept my controller inputs and kept flashing a high packet loss error. This is running on a Netgear Orbi wifi6 configuration where both the PC and Shield are in a room with an excellent wifi connection and on the same band (5 GHz). One might argue that I need both my Shield and PC to be hardwired for this to work, but the whole point of me buying this was to NOT having network cables running to every corner of my living room. Kind of defeats the purpose of network streaming if everything needs to be hardwired together, doesn't it? At that rate I might as well run a 25 ft HDMI cable from my PC to my TV across the room. I'm sure there are those with an ideal setup (i.e. PC hardwired into the network and the Shield hardwired into the network), but honestly, even if that were the case this whole experience has been a buggy mess not really worth the $200 in my honest opinion. At this point I've been trying to get this up and running for over an hour and it's going back to Best Buy tomorrow.

If you want an android tv streamer then you cant get anything else that is better than this.

It's absolutely the perfect Android media player to add to your multimedia setup.
