Just wondering why Amazon video doesn't sound nearly as good as Netflix or YouTube?

Unless the price is below 150$, I would not recommend this product.

I love playing retro games in my envy Shield is much faster than the previous generation recommended

I rate the Shield itself a 5, put took off 1 for the wonky remote.

Within three hours of setting this up, it froze and I had to do a hard reboot several times. Tried all the updates and worked with it until I finally returned it. May have just been my experience, but I don't plan to give it another shot

It's a nice media player to play movies and also for streaming. Good product and I liked a lot.

Nice concept but unless you are used to Android TV I would stick with ROkU 4K devices.

This thing is smooth and amazing. It has more power than is needed to stream so it's smooth.

The os is snappy and reaponsive. The picture has a lot of judder compared to an apple tv it native tv apps on my sony a80j. It dies handle all audio files i throw at it, but overall had to return.

This is my second Shield TV and it works super well.

Bought two of these. Fast, feature rich and enjoyable. Then a recent update littered the Home Screen with ads like the new Google Chromecast. If you want Android/Google TV, save your money and buy a Chromecast for a quarter of the price.

I honestly wish I could go back in time and refund this device. It's given me nothing but back-to-back issues ever since I purchased it. I was recommended this by a friend who loves everything Nvidia makes and I thought sure, why not? Terrible choice. The problems started with the Wi-Fi connectivity consistently dropping, even in mid-stream. We would be watching a show or film and the network would disconnect. I knew it wasn't a symptom of my router or my internet because everything else worked just fine and the problem was isolated only to this device. A firmware update did not fix this problem and it would have intermittent moments where the Wi-Fi would have to be reconnected. The real problem was when the applications stopped working entirely. I couldn't watch Hulu or Netflix without some error code. It wasn't the streaming services (it worked everywhere else), it was the device. I threw the troubleshooting manual at it, restarted the apps, power cycled the device, cleared the data and cache, and went as far as factory resetting the entire device. Nothing. Nvidia's customer support doesn't do much to help either. They'll send you through the song-and-dance of the same troubleshooting steps that's on their website before continuously escalating it up their tier system. You're going to waste a lot of time trying to figure this thing out when you run into issues. All-in-all, I will say that I've heard positive stories about it from other people who use it for much more than streaming, but I can't in good faith recommend this after the absolutely terrible experience I've had with it. I'd stay far away.
