Just picked up this version as an upgrade for an older unit. It works great, as expected. The Shield performs above and beyond any other streaming device I’ve seen. Aside from a performance bump, the most noticeable upgrade is the remote. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and functionality.

This is an incredible device. I have switched to using this for all my entertainment. I watch every show and movie I desire. Every thing is available. I’m also amazed at the gaming that is available, I’m not a big gamer but any title you can think of is available. Also very easy to use. Setup was easy.

It's the best on the market. There are many adjustments and options to provide a clear sharper picture and better sound. The best sound my A/V receiver has ever had and the best picture my TV has ever had. Everything loads fast. It's awesome! I was using Firestick 4K before I purchased the Sheild Pro.

Should have purchased this ages ago. Very happy with the easy of setup. Very fast getting into the apps. So many uses for this device. I was able to setup the Plex server and connect to my Synology NAS to stream music and movies. I got this to replace the Amazon Fire Cube (first gen) and glad I did.

Nvidia Shield TV Pro is really fast and smooth. Streaming 4K stuff looks amazing on it. I like the AI upscaling, makes old videos look better. Remote could be bit more comfy to hold tho. Overall, it’s pricey but worth it if you watch lot of TV.

This does everything you could want it to. You can stream PC games from your computer or the cloud, you can upscale 1080 & 720 res video to seem almost like 4k from most any source, you can use it to emulate retro games, and android games. I bought another one for the other TV in my house because it worked so well.

Love love love. The AI upscaling is cool. Looks amazing. Love the remote. Only complaint is that it buffers sometimes. Not my internet speed. I have a gb network. Also, use ethernet connection. I do use mesh so could be switching from 5gh to 2 gh when it gets congested. Not sure but it's no big deal.

This thing is very fast, and a plus is that it has built in ethernet and plenty of usb ports. I have this running as a whole home distribution tv system attached to my in house cable set up and it works flawlessly on all tvs in my house. I wish I bought this years ago. One thing to note though is that the remote is very awkward to use and to hold, I guess is a love it or hate it thing....no biggie I just bought a more standard remote to use on it. I have no other issues to really note. Very stable system compared to the TiVo Stream 4k which does NOT include Ethernet which I would HIGHLY recommend using for any kind of tv streaming. Android TV is the best in my opinion and has plenty of things you can do with it. Highly recommend!

Very impressive streaming device. Very responsive and almost no lag when changing apps. 4k video and Dolby Atmos. Remote is awesome- able to program receiver and projector with one remote.

Box already comes loaded with programs, but I also added Kodi to mine to get everything I needed. Adding Kodi not required as there's plenty of free loaded programs for TV, Movies, and Sports. In my opinion definitely worth the price.

Best streaming device, period. Supports lossless audio, so from Tidal/Amazon HD in full lossless Master playback to MKV back ups of your films with full support for DTS Master HD and Dolby TrueHD tracks, which other streaming devices do not support. Plex server runs great for your home use, but not recommended for transcoding externally. Two USB ports allow you connect external hard drives to playback media. Make sure to setup drive properly within settings and Shield will then creat a Nvidia Shield folder on the hard drives for you to place media files that it will be able to access. Google TV interface works very fast with the Nvidia processing.

Anyone nervous to take the leap from cable to streaming this is the device for you. Supe user friendly. Super responsive. Nothing like how laggy a crappy smart tv is. Tons of features. Keeps track of what your watching across all the platforms. Donest get any better then this when it comes to quality and ease of use.

This is a must have for anyone. I recommend this to every friend. This adds an insane amount of value to any entertainment setup. The gaming on it is incredible, the streaming is flawless, and the customization is next to none.

You can't beat the Shield Pro for either streaming or now with the 3080 tier of GeForce now for gaming! I'm playing most of my games in 4k HDR and it looks AMAZING. Only complain I have is sometimes YouTube TV doesn't work perfectly... but every other app does.

This is a great item so glad I bought this. Finally cut the cord and am saving a ton of money. I use this for tv and for video games. It does take a little getting use to at first but it is amazing once you get use to it. Thinking about buying another for backup , yes it is that good.

Bought the original 2015 model. loved it but after finally getting a pc again at the time didnt see a point in keeping it. few years later realized i should of kept it. however kinda glad i got the x1+ version now as i wouldn't have if i did have my original one. now just waiting for the custom roms and root

Needed something for streaming services since our FrameTV has lag problems. Works seamlessly with our soundbar and TV and is still quick/snappy.

This is my second shield. I still own the 2017 model, which looks the same. I upgrade because this is my most important device in my home theater setup (besides the speakers and amp). I use it for all streaming apps like Netflix, Prime, Plutotv and most importantly Kodi. I connect Kodi to my Open Media Vault server to host my movie collection. So far with the AI upscaling I set it low. Seems to help with detail. I found on default that it was jittery when I stream from Plutotv. I'll continue to test that feature out. Love the remote even though I use a harmony elite. The remote has a nice feel and I use it after I turn on the system for general navigation. Works well still, with my RII mini keyboard. I've yet to test the Dolby vision, but I have no doubt it will work well. If you are like me and use the device the most, then upgrade. Next version I hope is over the top in power, but I'm happy Nvidia is still active with this product.

This streaming box is the one to get if you want all things hi def. It not only handles HDR10 but also Dolby Vision from streaming apps like Netflix and Amazon. It also CAN do Dolby Vision in apps like Plex if you rip your 4K Dolby Vision Blurays a certain way. On top of all that it handles hi def audio without issues like Atmos from Netflix and Amazon, as well as also streams uncompressed Atmos and DTS:X from Plex(something no other stream device can do). So playing an HDR10 or Dolby Vision rips via Plex, you get the full experience with hi def sound. The amount of apps have grown a LOT over the last year and has most apps that you find on other streaming boxes, with the exception of Apple TV+, but I hear that is coming later in the year. All in all, this is THE streamer to get if you care about all things hi def.

Serves its purpose well! Would be better if the "Netflix" button on the remote could be reprogramed to another option and would be nice to have a mute button as well.
