Waited a year before writing this review to give it a true test. I’m very impressed with picture and sound. Only nuance is how easy it is to hit the Netflix button which takes you to there in the middle of watching another streamer.

This is the top end of streaming players available. Streams 4K HDR content with Atmos sound with ease. Can setup as a plex server, can play cyberpunk 2077 on this thing via GeForce NOW much better than any current gen console. What's not to like about this this Media Player?

This shield does it all! It is a powerful device that also works as a Plex server. With full android operating system and constant updates from Nvidia it is simply a must have addition to anyone’s home entertainment system. Features like Dolby atmos and AI upscale give it a great sound and picture.

The sheild is very fast and responsive, unlike a firestick, and even gaster than my roku. Finally got a pc that can keep up with gamestream and works great. Built-in Chromecast is a great bonus. Still a bit overpriced IMO but love it! Goodbye Directv forever!

Previously I had a firetv that served me well, but I was ready for something new. The nvidia shield pro's interface is nice - I like how I can configure the layout of favorites and the rows of top shows/items for each app I install. I use it for live tv, hulu, netflix, disney+, and espn... all work well. Its also nice for a variety of emulators for older game systems. I thought I would get Geforce now... but it turns out it is really just beta by invite only... and I am in the queue waiting for an invite. One day I look forward to trying out streaming games. I am able to use an older Fire TV bluetooth wireless game controller with it, and I have a logitech wireless keyboard, but surprisingly I had trouble with xbox one bluetooth controllers. I could pair one xbox controller easily, but as soon as I added a second, it wouldn't pair right away until after 3 tries. And then a 3rd wouldn't pair after 10s of tries. Then after rebooting, none would pair. So I have concluded the bluetooth support is flaky. Fortunately the older bluetooth amazon fire controller works well. I plan to get a USB hub and wired controllers next.

Faster and better picture quality than the fire cube but expensive

Amazing picture quality, very quick and snappy interface. Absolutely recommend this product. It's the best streaming device I have in the house. The sound reproduction is amazing on our 7.2.2 system

I been a shield owner for 2 years now and I thought they would never update their machine but I was wrong and it's an improvement over the last model. I definitely noticed an increase in speed and functionality. It's not perfect but it's a great box and I'm satisfied with it. Love the new remote!

The SHIELD is an amazing multi-media device, good for gaming and great for media consumption overall. It allows for 4K HDR playback with lossless Dolby Atmos support, which is exactly what I was looking for! The NVIDIA GameStream functionality is also amazing, allowing me to stream games from my PC in 4K HDR (with upscaling and some other hiccups).

Still one of the best, if not the best, Android based streaming device available. Looking fwd to Nvidia updating this HW in the future with updated specs, but this device continues to serve its purpose and does not disappoint.

Awesome media player. Love it. Use it primarily to play mkv files from a 8tb hard drive plugged into usb on the shield. I like the remote much more than my Apple TV remote. The remote is backlit also.

Hopefully this is worth the money. Looking to do a few more things than just streaming apps. I already have Apple TV 4K, Roku, and a Fire TV. Still learning how to use this unit.

LOVE this. I have been in the market for a better product than what we have had for and this was the ticket. We replaced our Google Chromecast with Google TV with this device (still like the Chromecast but this was far better and love the remote).

This is the streaming King of Kings. My only regret is that I didn't get one sooner. So far my experience with this device has been great and I don't feel like I'm scratching the surface. Since using this I haven't touch my fire cube, apple TV or Google Chromecast.

NVIDIA's SHIELD is still the best streamer available! Tons of compute power, running on AndroidTV, and the remote upgrade from 2019 is the best remote to have! We love how the Shield just works, and it works amazing

If you stream everything this is a must. Its fast with no lag. You can also add to the 16 gb with external storage. True its a 2019 model but its updated software ever so often cant be beat.

Works great, easy to use, games are phenomenal lots it different options.

Had to return the first as it came with many issues but the second one works very well I just don’t think it’s worth 200 bucks. It’s super fast and responsive so that’s a plus.

I love this thing. It is quite stable now, very powerful and I run Plex server on it. Now if I could just get my dog to quit chewing up the remotes!
