Shield Pro Tv doesn't get any updates lately. There is no roadmap from Nvidia to have any significant updates in the future. That is understandable for an old device, but not having security updates is very concerning. I love the device nonetheless and it's the best in market to overhaul an old boring TV.

It was very easy set up and connect. Very user friendly. Don't spend your money on cheaper devices.

Excellent streaming player. I was using a Tivo Stream 4k and was seeing freeze-ups on certain streaming apps, and would have to stop the apps or even reboot the device to resume. The NVIDIA Shield Pro has worked flawlessly on those same apps. I also like that it has a built-in gigabit ethernet port and two USB ports. Definitely pricey compared to other players but worth it to me for the reliability and stability.

Item weirdly comes without an hdmi cable, ui can use some work. I also dislike the green light on it but it’s still the best stream device out there.

I’ve replaced my AppleTv 4K with this in my Home Theater setup. Why? Well I still have all of my favorite streaming apps on the Shield, plus, I’m getting much more Surround options than on the AppleTV. Most content on that was coming through in virtual formats, whereas on the Shield I’m getting Dolby Truehd and DTS Master. Far better experience. You can do tons of things with the sheild.
