Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I purchased this I only had an 1080p tv with ARC and using the plex app on the tv I wasn't getting Atmos/DTS-HD audio to my Denon receiver. The Shield fixed that. The Shield is networked on my LAN, with its Plex client accessing my Plex server on my pc. Shield ouputs Atmos/DTS-HD to Denon receiver which outputs the video untouched to tv. Works perfectly as it says it will. Great product.

Firestick on steroids

If you are just on a tv with a soundbar, you are good with a firestick. Low end bass, and mids sound way clearer with this setup, not to mention the 4k upscaling. This thing is a beast. I really like the remote as well, but I dont use it, as I have a harmony. worth the money!

You get what you pay for.

The nVidia Shield isn't going to prove that rule wrong. It is fairly expensive, but the capabilities are far and above any other streaming box out there. If you just want video streaming, look elsewhere for cheaper, but if you want video game streaming and all the bells and whistles, you can find that here.

The Best Streaming Device

It just seems to stream content at such a faster rate then all of the other devices I have tried (which is about all outside of the Apple TV box). The interface is nice and sleek, and while some content Ad's were added recently, I don't think it is a bother at all.
