They are the best video player on the market. They support a variety of formats. One thing to remember, and why I returned mine, is that they do not work well with Yamaha receivers. If you have a Yamaha surround sound system save yourself the hassle and headache of trying to connect this and look at an Apple TV.

Ditch the Roku and pick up your NVidia Shield Pro

The Roku is slow and constantly needs power cycling to re-pair the remote. Nvidia shield pro new version is tiny compared to the previous shield device. The remote works well but is slipery, flat black and some "triangleish" shape. It get's lost or jammed in between our theater seating sections. I'd have rated it a 5/5 if not for the stupid remote design.

I upgraded from the 2015 version (only because the power supply failed which Nvidia even replaced for free) it supports many audio and video formats, as one who has a Plex server it's nice to see it can direct play literally anything I've sent to it.
