This device strips away some codecs that prevent true Dolby Atmos and HD/4k. You hear a 'cleaner' sound. I use KODI to download a view videos with it. I'm not a gamer, but it has awesome graphics.

Good Roku alternative

NVIDIA - SHIELD Android TV Pro - 16GB - 4K HDR Str

You can also download many apps and use an external drive for video files, which is something many streaming drives don't have the capability to do.

If you have media in lossless formats (DTS:X, Dolby Atmos etc...) this device WILL play it. Boot time is FAST. Apps load FAST. Gigabit ethernet on board.
