This device comes preloaded with the most popular app. And you stay in the driver seat when using this device, unlike firestick who now loads apps you can no longer delete.

Shield Rocks!

It has gigabit nic port which most others don't have. The download speed are fast and android OS is my favorite. I recommend this box to anyone streaming and it also doubles as gaming console and Plex server.

Fantastic Media Player

I use the Shield to stream all my local blu-ray & 4K blu-ray rips via Plex. Playback is flawless with no buffering in HD, 4K, & HDR and it plays all the object based audios (Dolby ATMOS & DTS-X).

I've used this thing daily since the day I picked it up. I replaced an aging Roku Ultra with this thing and couldn't be happier.

Perfect streaming device except......

Only took off a star for the only reason I returned it....... No HLG support on YouTube. Most and would even notice and more would probably not even care. I watch a lot of YouTube and YouTube has a feature..... I want to enjoy it. Everything else on this device is A+.

Personally, I am not a big Android fan. I was disappointed with the game Library and with the features that the console offers for streaming.
