nvidia shield is a great product don't get me wrong. it handles 4k streaming and games perfectly. and the upscale is nice but that shouldn't have been the only upgrade. and still works amazing as a plex movie server.

Works great. Only took off a star for the only reason I returned it....... No HLG support on YouTube. Most and would even notice and more would probably not even care. I watch a lot of YouTube and YouTube has a feature..... I want to enjoy it. Everything else on this device is A+.

I have a Sony TV with android TV and this box is almost identical to it so it is real easy to navigate. Loaded up all my apps and went to use it in my movie room and it was fantastic with my projector and sound system.

Went from FireTv to Shield for some apps not offered and havent had any regrets. Certain apps like Plex seem to work a lot better.

Another electronic device that I am glad I brought. I have gotten rid of cable and enjoy all the stations that I didn't have.

Buy this and not the dongle. The dongle licks up on me. But the pro is really smooth. Sad that it is basically the same as the 2017 non pro capacity wise. They listed it as pro and charge $20 more! But best streaming device

the upscaling make 1080 content seem like 4k, def worth it, just get it

Perfect for all my streaming needs. Unless you are a gamer, you really don't need the Pro. You could get along with the Nvidia Shield TV (cylinder shaped). Very happy with the layout and the Pro remote works with voice.

I bought this Nvidia Shield Streaming Media Player to have a taste of the Google interface game and streaming console. Personally, I am not a big Android fan. I was disappointed with the game Library and with the features that the console offers for streaming.

After a few months of using it I can say this is definitely the best way to go for all of your apps and it can also play pretty much any file from a USB you can think of.

Outstanding with one caveat, that “one-off” ridiculously designed remote. There is a reason nobody in history has designed a remote that shaped… because it’s outlandishly poor, ergonomically speaking.

Finally decided to get the best. I have had android boxes and for the most part a waste of money. The shield pro well worth it this along with fire stick or cube are the best choices for streaming boxes.

This is top notch media system in Video quality and content. I’m a huge AppleTV supporter due to their superb video quality. Amazon’s firestick doesn’t come close to AppleTV, however Shield Pro is a fierce competitor.

Really nice and streamlined design, the quality is impeccable. Some issues with GeForce Now stuttering a bit, but it’s usually very smooth. I love the remote and the UI is easy to set up and convenient

The hardware is fantastic. Google TV is horrid - they now push ads on a device that you bought at full price. Plex, Kodi run great on it.

Plays all audio codecs flawlessly. A little dated but still the best.

Best box out there. No comparison. Great for steaming and IPTV services.

Been using Nvidia shield since 2018. Couldn't have made a better purchase.

Use mainly for streaming tv services. Extremely fast, Can passthrough audio/video to receiver with no problems. Tried first gen but kept crashing all the time but this one has been solid and the remote seems better.

Good streaming device even better if your a little tech savvy and know how to tinker with things if not I would recommend the Roku the fact the shield plays all my movie files on my hard drive makes this worth buying
